Moogle's have finally appeared. There are two Moogle's with each other at each location they are in. One tells you to "be sure to check out all areas and costume's you can, that is the key!" And the other tells you to go to one of the decorations with a partner, you might find a surprise!" (This is not word for word what each Moogle says, but close enough :p)

I partnered up with a stranger, in the hopes of figuring out what to do...but neither of us had any clue :( I'm assuming the one Moogle telling us to check out all locations and costumes, is telling that to us for a reason...just afraid that means something outrageous like, you have to go to every single decoration and have worn every single costume or god only know's what o.o

Anyway, gonna try to find out what the deal is, I'm also assuming this appearance of Moogle's finally, has something to do with the Pitchfork's. But just guessing.

Ok, rumor's of having to be in costume with a partner. Also rumor's of it having to be a Skeleton and Ghost costume combo, and while in this combo of costumes, then go to one of the decorations. Not positive, but gonna go see if I can find someone to try it out with me.

The Moogles do not give quests. (I don't know if they will give the quests at a later time.)

All obtainable items till now:
-Trick Staff -Trick Staff 2
-Treat Staff -Treat Staff 2
-Pumpkin Head -Pumpkin Head 2
-Horror Head -Horror Head 2

Quick guide on how to get them:
Buy "Sweets" from the Auction House. You can find them under "Food" -> "Meals" -> "Sweets". Find a NPC in Costume in a nation. Trade the Sweets to it, one by one, and keep trading the same Sweets till you get an item eventually. Yay, youre first item! What item you earn is said to be random, but you can not obtain the same item twice, unless you drop it. The "Sweets" that you used now, you won't be able to use it again till the next Vana'Diel day. So go to the Auction House and buy another type of "Sweets". Choose another NPC in costume, and again keep trading the same Sweets to it untill it gives you another item. If you keep doing this you will be able to get all 8 items. I myself did this process on 8 different NPC's and I got all items. I used Ginger Cookies, Acorn Cookies, Bubble Chocolate and Rolanberry Pie's.

Things that yet have to be found out and proven:
-Does the type of NPC you trade to affect the item you can earn?
-Does the type of "Sweets" being traded affect the speed in which the NPC might give you an item?
-Are having all 8 items required to get a Pitchfork? I have not tried out myself yet, because I dropped my normal Trick Staff and Treat Staff because I needed Inventory space, and have been too lazy to get them again. :P

Note: Some NPC's and shops also sell the "Sweets" you can use. For example, the cooking guild in Windurst. This might help you save gil. For the Cooking craft levelers.. now is a very good time to level it, since the prices seem to go up fast.

I hope this helped you... and now i'm going to go back to Remora and find out if there is more to get. Good luck to those who are have not started on trying to get the items yet.

It could be that this quest is like others in the past. Where u could get the NQ item in 1 city, but had to move to another city, and do the quest to get the HQ item.
And before u flame, I'm speaking of the Pitchforks, not the other items.

SUREFIRE WAY TO GET PITCHFORK IN BASTOK!
The walkthrough you have been waiting for.

-Make a team of 2,

-First person finds the Skeleton NPC, Trick Bones, and sets /follow on him.

-Next person goes to goldsmith guild, trade any sweet to the shade guy there, and you become a wolf, and just ask someone there to open door.

-Then your friend who is tailing bones, trades him a sweet, and becomes a ghost.

-Both of you Make a B-Line for (J-10) by the bard shop.. there is a floating thing with 3 bombs there, just both of you run under it, and it should say in the chat log, "Pitchfork Obtained"

I will add a walkthrough for the +1 when I figure it out.
Please remember this walthrough is for bastok.

This little tidbit is false for sure. Above someone else mentioned getting two of the same items and I have also gotten two of the same items as well. Although since they are rare/ex you automatically lose the second item.

Ok. Elvaan and Skeleton combo does not work in Woods on the decoration by the moogles. I forgot to check the decoration by the Cardian place. Now I am waiting an hour.

In Bastok (Markets) the pitchfork can be got by:

Forming a party after speaking to the moogles in Bastok Markets

One person trades a treat to the Trick Specter for a ghost costume

The other trades a treat to the Trick Ghost for a hound costume

(both NPC's wander around)

Then check out the decorations at J-10 - near the music shop.

We already had a pitchfork from sandoria and got an ogre pumpkin (not a pitchfork +1 - boo)

go to Bastok Mines. Have one player trade a treat to Proud Beard next to the mog house zone to turn into a Shadow. Have the other player trade a treat to Emaliveulaux (at around (G-6) I think) to turn into a Skeleton.

Finally, go the the decoration at (H-7) to obtain a Pitchfork.

I just tried and got the fork by looking at the decoration at L-7 instead. Try both when you're searching.
