Quote from: Cuer Quote from: Aerroenu Carapace Powder (Bonecraft 21 - Minimum) Crystal: Wind Crystal Ingredients: Crab Shell x2 One question here: are there two recipes for this Carapace Powder, and if so do they both seem to cap at 21 Bonecraft? I have that recipe as using 2 Beetle Shells, which fits the description. Was the recipe given with 2 Crab Shells, as well? I don't want to add another recipe if they aren't both listed... any further digging into this would be appreciated.

Quote from: Kyl'Sekai Something I found out about the exp rings. If you buy one, use it up, toss it, etc. you can't buy the other one. So not only can you not have both in inventory, and not only can u only buy one per conquest, you may also not buy that TYPE of item within the same tally twice. Also, although AF1+1 would be nice for pre-AF2 usage, I'm wondering how exactly AF+1 stacks up against AF2.
Quote from: Magnumriver The first day of the expansion, I was dying to work on some of the NPC upgrades. Since no guides were available yet, I decided to test out my sherlock skills (which ended up being talk to every NPC in Jeuno for #4 lol). Anyway, quick walkthrough for the next NPC quest: 1.) Talk to Luto, she'll ask you to find a book in Windy 2.) Go to Windurst Waters to the Opistery, talk to the main guy in there... in the CS one of his cohorts will ask for 6 food items. It will cost about 60-65k to get those 6 items (people jacked up the prices and last night someone told me prices were up to 200k on Titan) 3.) Talk to Luto again... pretty interesting CS that mentions "Aht Urhgan" directly for the first time! She calls it the "Empire of Aht Urhgan" meaning it is probably gonna be a gigantic city. 4.) Talk to a Mithra walking around by the Signet guard in Port Jeuno... you will get a fatty CS and finish this quest... there is an alusion to Luto being a mischevious character and you are left with 2 clues to the next quest: find the metal to put the mirror back together and find the author fo the book. I got a message saying my relationship with my NPC has strengthened. What this means beats me.... I noticed no new options in the menu. My guess is that I can use NPC in dungeons or cap is increased to 55. Honestly I would have done this quest for the CS alone.

A side note, everything but the Bison Steak for the items required, can be bought via NPC, the whitefish stew depends on Windurst being in 1st or 2nd place, but it can still save a chunk of gil if you run around to buy instead of stopping at the Jeuno AH for everything. Bison steak, whitefish stew, white bread, windurst salad, icecap rolanberry, sandorian tea.
