The July 2006 FFXI Patch Compilation of Info is now up! The info included so far: basic data on the new merit job abilities/job traits/spells; the new commonly available song and spell; the updated weapons, including all the much more powerful level 68+ Dagger weapons. Please post here with more data regarding all the new merit abilities, as well as other changes from the patch.

Phalanx II is able to be cast on party members. Each additional point increases duration 30 seconds and -3 damage.

A friend Bard have tested Troubadour, and it didn't work O_o Mage Ballad II did 2mp/tic refresh, and Str+ Etude II did +11 only on me Bug?

Troubadour doubles the length of the effect. It's not Soul Voice after all...

Absorb - TP is available from the Spell NPC in Aht Urgan Whitegate, (G-7) Mazween for 27,000.

Raptor mazurka is available from the NPC (H-11) Kahf Jhifanm for 4,400.

It`d be nice if you stated a zone from which to buy Raptor Mazurka from, since there`s only a few in the game.

Lamia no9 has somesort of AoE charm move, I don't know what its called cause my filters blocked it, she also spams sleepga and blingga, she also cast an AoE bind spell, she also has multiple pet elementals, but she doesNOT need to be defeated to win a beseiged with her in it

Lamia No.9's Charmga move is 'Belly Dance'. Got nailed with it a ton of times.

The Compilation of Info is now updated with all the new armor and weapon items! The icons for the new items will be coming later, on Tuesday, but all the stats are listed for a wide variety of equipment. Thanks for the feedback so far, everyone; the scrolls sales are listed as well, based on that info.

Raptor Mazurka is in Whitegate. In the area where the ship arrives. So are grasseeds from the same NPC. Protect V does +5 def with 1 merit and goes up from there.

The vast majority of the inventory items are now listed in the Compilation of Info, including new furniture, a few crafting materials, and the many items that will be used for Chocobo Raising, when that is added next month.

Truly this new merit point thing is crap.
SE is just trying to get away with the chocobo update by keeping our mouth shut.
From the news that they announce , doesnt make sense.
When did the last time we were confuse about Chocobo updates and Toau Missions? I am pretty sure during May we were inform Chocobo updates comes on july and there wasnt anything about New Toau missions. Obviously SE is trying to delay chocobo updates to keep it for a New expansion.

Recast on AM2 is way longer, about 90 seconds unfortunately :/ Have Burst II upgraded to level 2 and it does 5-10% more dmg than Thundaga III. Also hasn't been resisted once so far.

Thanks for the feedback, folks; most of that is now updated. The next update of the Compilation of Info is up, with all the new items now there (except those extra silly Chocobo Eggs, I'll get them next time.)
