OK I let all my charas wait for 1 day. I claimed my gift and I got an Adventurer's Certificate, Federation Stables Collar and a Chocopass.

I now personally think that this is all random, and you're better off accepting a gift everyday rather than wait and get less gifts for the entire duration of the event.

I really have mixed feelings about not waiting.

For starters, my main got three pieces of junk straight not waiting. By waiting once and collecting he'd almost certainly at least got one good item out of that time.

For seconders, there have still been zero reports of people getting the Gold Moogle Belt or Chocobo Wand with no wait whatsoever.

Go to the 2nd page of this thread and read my posts, I got a Chocobo Wand by NOT waiting. The 1st time I waited I got a Chocopass. The 2nd time I didn't wait and chose to claim it now, and I got the Wand.

What's the difference between the Chocobo ticket and the Chocobo pass?

Well now my mule/backup char has her adventurer's certificate, my mule got a firecracker, and i got 2 chocopasses on my main. I'm just going to click now each day and cycle through it, its the only logical thing I can see considering how random things are, becuase i find it hard to beleive a subjobless lvl5 warrior mule got that certificate over my main who i've been playing for nearly 2 years hehe

As far as I can see, a Choco Ticket allows you a free choco ride, just trade it to the stables NPC. The chocopass is a free choco ride for an adventurer who does not yet have a choco riding pass from Jeuno, and can be used once by tading it in to the stables NPC standing in front of the choco, just like the choco ticket.

I've gotten 2 chocobo tickets, a chocobo pass, bronze mog belt, silver mog belt, and a return ring. Only waited the first day. Then recieved the return ring. All the others I didn't wait. Forgot to get it last night, logged in Jeuno.lol

Just ran a test on my mule. Chose "Let me think about it." literally over 100 times. Probably closer to 130 or so.

Got a Chocopass.

So if choosing "Let me think about it." provides any kind of bonus, it probably doesn't stack.

Had dynamis windurst on Monday, checked my stats and chose to wait. Came back for dynamis windurst again on Friday, picked up my present. Got a kingdom stables collar, "teleport to sandoria chocobo stables"... sweeeet...
lvl 75 brd lvl 75 rng rank 10 windurst
mithra etc. etc.
but I think it had to do with waiting 7 days :O

Don't you just hate it when things start getting random sometimes? >.>

Anyway, told my friends the "lemme think about it" effect was just placebo. I stated earlier that I now think this is random, so again, I think you're better off getting a present everyday for more presents, rather than waiting x days.

so far for me:

wait 1 day, then got silver noogle bet,

wait 1 day, then got gold moogle belt,

I'd recomend this pattern, like Miraglyth said before.

The trouble is, the event itself only lasted about... 20 days. If you wait 7 days for things, you'll only get 2-3 of the 5+ items that haven't been seen for 48 months now.

Which isn't the way SE would do it. Though it's certainly a viable method to attempt to go straight for the best stuff, I guess.

seems like most people havent caught on to exactly how this event works...

A)If you choose not to wait, you will have a 50% chance of getting an R/E items (from past events) or a lousy Chocobo Ticket/Firework items.

B)Choosing to pass and wait for your gift (24hours or until the JP turnover) will give you a 100% of getting an R/E items. (waiting 1, 2, 3 or 10 days will not improve the item you will get)

C)The R/E item you recive will be random, to a point., so there is no need to wait longer then one day.

Let me explain... The bottomline is, you can not possess more then 1 of the same R/E item. Since I already posses all of the Chocobo Stable items, the Mog is forced to give me something other then the Chocobo Stable items. Since I already possess all of the Moogle Belts, the Mog is forced to give me something else. Since I already posses a Homing Ring and Express Band, the Mog is forced to give me somthing else... etc. etc. etc.

So, by choosing to pass on your Mog Gift 1 day, you will randomly recieve an R/E you dont already possess. The more of these items you already have, the better your odds are of recieving some extremely rare R/E item.

Not to say you still cant get a Chocobo Wand or Moogle Rod with blind-dumb luck, but it's still better with the odds in your favor. '.>|<.'

• Chose "Wait" at about 10am Saturday morning, JST.
• Increased all of my stats afterwards, except KO's and GM calls.
• Chose "Gimme" at 11.55pm Sunday night, JST, 38 hours later.

Got a free chocopass.

Something's seriously wrong with this event. My mule can walk up to the Moogle without waiting and get handed a Silver Moogle Belt, yet my main can wait 1-2 RL days and still get jack.

SE have screwed up. My perfect EU event item collection is ruined, through no fault of my own. Now I'll just have to wait another two years for a chance to correct that.

RE: Mayhem (Between my last two posts).

No.

"Wait" is well-established now to **not** guarantee a decent item, even without a maintenance in the middle of the wait time, and I believe that is SE's mistake with this event.

It is entirely possible - nay, likely - to get junk even after waiting 2+ times. That it has happened to me three times thusfar has meant that I've only been able to get two of the five items I didn't already have from this event.

Getting junk after waiting really burns. I've lost out on 7 RL days for this thanks to it.

I agree. when my mules get the good stuff by clicking "Gimmie" and my main who i've poured time hours blood sweat and tears into gets jack by choosing "Gimmie" and gets jack by choosing "Wait".... there's something wrong there.
