I was fighting Toros in Sauromugue Champaign and hadn't gotten a sash yet. I saw a Toro named Miura and helped kill it and got Dash Sash from the ??? left behind.

Heres my experiances on this, and I noted the conditions on the warping:

I zoned to from port jeuno and there was this bull monster, I knew about the event but it didn't register that this was it, seeing several people running away from it toward the zone and the name yellow I decided to help by casting banish 2 to grab hate so they could zoen and then folow. I never got the chance.

My spell made it to 70% when it slammed me to the west, next thing I knew I was in San d'Orea. I grabbed a choco and started to head back to jeuno, when I not all these peopel otside the gate in west ronf. I ask whats up and get filled in me:"oh the event!" otherguy:"yes, the event.." I get off my choco and join in waiting for the scout to bring back a bull, slap a dia then a banish 2 on it, and POW slammed east and zoned to south sandy.

I go back out and arive just in time to see it die. Their were multiple blm slamming it with tier 3 elemental spells for around 300 damage each. On the next toro, I got slammed west this time, this time landed in north sandy. Decided to see if it would slam my from a my pet as bst, so I went out as bst, couldn't spot it on wide scan (I was scouting now since I had widescan) but it popped in front of me at H-7, checked wide scan while autorunnin, wasn't on widescan o.0 perhaps lag?

my pet rabbit got all of 2 hits in. killed it and got red sash.

Now since I heard via tell from another person that he got zoned to jeuno (we lost a blm..) I figured it must be random since my HP was bastok but I didn't land there, so I tried to get warped on purpose. Couldn't get hate off those blm, so I changed to rng/bst, stood at the spawn at H-7 (popped same spot everytime) hit sharpshot then eagly eye shot then charm, that gave me some hate ;) I just kept spamming charm and no one could get that bull away from me.

I slammed me east a dozen times and I said "warp me damnit!" and it did, last thing I saw was a lot of the english speaking players loling. Landed again in east sandy (see patern?)

Ran back out to try again, got it good with several ranged attacks and kept hate just long enough to get slammed south and land in...(drumroll) bastok mines (HP was in markets FYI).

AT this point I figure well perhaps killing it in another area nets me the HQ version. So I find where the people are gathered and wait, see the toro come running up, and I educate the group as they didn't realize it wasn't claimed and that no I did not "steal the toro" and that we all get to whack at it.

I notice real quick this one has a LOT more hit points, I changed back to whm and I and a red mage 2 blm and another whm we slammed down about 2000 in damage and only a sliver came off its health bar o.0;

All the ones I fought near sandy were weak, all the ones near bastok were tough.

Got slammed north many many times, landed in port bastok every time I got shoved north. slammed south I landed it bastok mines, perhaps east from bastok would put me in windurst? North from sandy put me in jeuno? I'll try later to find out.

Eventually manage to get one to die in my presence, found that it was just red sash again.

I also noted at bastok that if I wore the red sash, it would hit me if nobody had any hate. It spawned next to me and instantly slammed me before anyone had moved, I had put the sash on in case that was what was need to get the HQ sash.

Turns out another bull mob drops the dash sash. muira or something like that I forget the spelling.

Key Notes when fighting the Toro:

-Be sure ot shout out the POS of the Toro, since multiple people can attack it and anyone can examine the ???. Goes a lot faster too.

-When you attack the Toro it will charge you and hit you, which in return causes you to warp to another town. About 80% of the time it warps you the town that your HP is set.
-You can recieve multiple hit by the Toro before you warp sometimes. (my record is getting hit 8 times before warping, warped on the 8th).

- Thf can't even out FLEE IT.

-Best jobs to fight the Toro with is:

SMN-toro hardly comes after you when your using avatars.

BST-same as smn, so keep a little distance between you and the Toro till it nears it's death.

If you can get a group of BLMs together, aga II and III does tons of dmg to it.

-most other jobs its just better to stand around and wait for mages to kill it fast since it ahs HIGH hp. *Rumored to have more than 10,000hp*

-First Sash is obtained through after killing the Toro, by examining the ???(doesn't last real long)(Red Sash: Enmity +1)

-Second Sash is obtained by killing a special named Toro(don't know the name off hand). (Dash Sash: Enmity +2)

HQ version of the Toro is in zones outside Jeuno, its named Miura. You get Dash Sash from it. Do not attack it yourself.
Good ways to deal damage to it without hitting it:
1. Call your npc - take off all gear and hit it once with your fists and then disengage, this will make your npc attack it. Just have your npc follow it around beating it up ;)

2. If u stand directly on zone line i dont think it can warp you. I knocked the snot out of a toro with sidewinder and it knocked me but since i was on zone line it knocked me back into jeuno. The actual warp effect activates after you stop moving from being hit - however if u are on zone line and it knocks u into a new zone the effect will not activate ;)

SMN and BST and BLM own this thing. All others should stay back. BLM can just warp back and blow it up again and again.
Do NOT hit it at all. Stay behind/away from it. Also set your hp nearby and have a warp scroll! Attack this thing once and it will probably warp you.

the NM Mirua can be in any of the zones. Basicly works like your regular lottery NM with the Toro being the Place Holder. I just got my Dash Sash off one in East Ronfare.

Same here,

I got sent packing hard by the NM to Bastok mines about 9x. I could not outrun it, even with crimson cuissas, but I did notice debuffs stuck when I cast Frost. Just got the Dash Sash though, I think the mystery is solved about Miurna and the other Buffalo.

Only thing of note I can think: one time I was ported to the I.M. Guard in Port Bastok. Every other time I was sent to Homepoint. I had /BLM so I just warped and ran out again and I got the Killshot in. What a rush, thanks to every single person on Remora Server in S.Gusta this morning.
I hope many were able to get this item.

Grabbed the Dash Sash off Miura in Sauromongue Champaign (sp?). It was right at jeuno zone, so I ran out and with my 39 sam, meditate, sa+enpi for...13 damage. Lots of high lvl mages there using ancient on it, took it down, all got Dash Sash. Didn't hit me once.

Ok, little thing I figured out about the warping:

It seems when the bull hits you from directly behind while you're running away it never warps you. I know this because I was able to "pull" the bull in Rolanburry Fields by going out as my 47 THF/RNG finding it with wide scan, range attack it and flee tword the Jeuno zone. Even though my flee would give out and he would catch up and start hitting me in the back he never warped me. Then I would proceed to run around in circles with the bull hitting me. I would still warp from time to time but it was less often than those engaging it.

So there is a way to go about it and not get warped, it's just really tricky.

If that's true I'm not gonna stop killing Toros (spanish for bull), Miuras (bulls bred for bullfighting coming from a renown spanish herd of the same name) and whatever other male cow SE wants to throw at us till they drop it.

Here's how it works... if you do over 25 (90% sure of the exact #) damage w/ any hit that you do, the NM will warp you. This is only for the Toro, I don't know about the HQ.
When you Warp, the only place you will Warp to is your HP. The only exception is when there are too many people at the HP, which will make you go to the next alternate area, I believe only w/in the particular zone of your HP.

This is wrong, Toro warped me back to my HP when I was on SMN, and my Carbuncle was hitting for single digit damage. I never touched Toro myself and it still came for me, hit me a few times, and warped me.

Widescan does not show the bull, I tried seeing it 5 times. I could see the toro on screen, but when I looked at the map and widescaned it did not show up.

I also attacked it with an avatar, and it just came right at me. But it does in fact show up on widescan.

Widescan is how i was 1st able to find him. I know he can be found that way. I have noticed that event mobs seem to ALWAYS be at the end of the list no matter how far or close you are so maybe you just missed it?

To reply about the comment that carby was only doing single digit dmg the original post could have meant 25 total not 25 one hit. It seems that with these no matter who is fighting with you (pets) you get the hate. Maybe Toro just knows he cant zone carby but if he zones you carby will follow ^^ lol
