I'd like to know more of those equipment. I heard the lvl 50 are awesome but I can't find them, what do they look like? I know that JSE means Job Specific Equipment and that all JSE are crafted. A google search for ffxi jse only pointed to some acronyme guide and to forum where ppl tell they have JSE or are trying to get it. I have the impression that JSE came in a recent update and I heard that the required items to synth them cost a lot of gil.

And one last thing, in several site you can look thru equipment by slot, by job, by area, and more. Could it be possible for a site to list it By Set -- like Lizard set, Seer's set, etc ? I know you can already access some equipment by set like for the AF, RSE, and Abjuration sets.

Regarding JSE: The term "JSE" just stands for "Job-Specific Equipment", which is equipment that can only be worn by one job. There has been a handful of this in the game for a while, although most of the older kind was crafted. Some high end JSE was added when the last expansion was released, last October. You can see it in the news for that patch: Chains of Promathia Patch Compilation of Info.

The latest JSE was the level 50 Rare/Ex equipment added with the patch in December, which is acquired via a quest. It's all listed in the New Bastok Quests.

As for looking at the sets of items, it's hard to make a feasible way code-wise to designate those. They're fairly easy to search for, though: just use the Advanced Search, select "Armor Only" from the drop-down box, and then type in the name of the type of armor you're looking for, like "Seer's" or "Lizard". The list should show up there of all armor with that name. For example, all the Seer's gear can be seen in a Seer's Search.

Sorry about the links, you'll have to copy and paste them currently; we're still working on putting in a safe level of support for them in these messages. That should give you an idea of how to look up equipment like those sets, though.

EDIT: Updated with links

Cuer, check out http://linux.duke.edu/projects/mini/htmlfilter/ for a nice PHP-based HTML sanitizer.

Thanks for the info; as you can see above, we now have full link and other tag support for the messages. So we should be in good shape for that!
