Client: Faursel (Tenshodo, Lower Jeuno)

Summary: If you want to ride the mercenary transport ship to Mhaura, you must bring the required items to the Tenshodo.

Walkthrough for The Road to Aht Urhgan

Requirements: The Treasures of Aht Urhgan expansion pack must be installed and activated. Since this requires talking to an NPC inside the Tenshodo, you do have to be Tenshodo member. There don't appear to be any other requirements for this quest.

Talk to Faursel; he will have two options listed. Go down to a third line below those options, which is blank (much like the first Tenshodo activation quest.) Select that line to start the quest. If the line isn't there, you don't have the expansion pack installed and registered properly.
Select the blank line for a cutscene that starts the quest, and another set of options; whichever one you choose, he'll start the quest.
Select the various options to see the different items he will take. There are four ways to get the pass: pay 500k gil, or trade an Advanced, Intermediate, or Beginner items. The items are:
- Beginner: This takes all six items used in the subjob quests; the three from each one -- Damselfly Worm, Magicked Skull, Crab Apron, Wild Rabbit Tail, Dhalmel Saliva, and Bloody Robe. Trade all of those at one time to Faursel.
- Intermediate: These require three Garrison start items: Jade Cryptex, Silver Engraving, Thirteen-knot Quipus. Trade all three of those at one time to Faursel.
- Advanced: For this, you can choose either one coffer key, one Testimony, or the set of three chips from Pso'Xja. This is either: one of a coffer key from Davoi, Beadeaux, Castle Oztroja, Temple of Uggalepih, Den of Rancor, Quicksand Caves, Sea Serpent Grotto; one Testimony; all three of Carmine Chip, Cyan Chip, Gray Chip. Trade whichever item you choose to Faursel.
Once you obtain the item(s) you are going to use, trade them to Faursel, or trade him the 500000 gil. Either way, he'll take the gil or item, and tell you that he can't give it to you right then. Whether you paid the gil, or gave him the item(s), you will have to wait until the next day (at 0:00 Vana'diel time.)
Zone out of Lower Jeuno into another zone; logging out of the game does not count.
Zone back in, and wait until the next game day has arrived.
Talk to Faursel to receive your reward and complete the quest. If you traded him any of the items, the only reward is the Boarding Permit, which is all you need to use the ferry from Mhaura to Aht Urhgan. If you paid the 500k gil, you will get the Boarding Permit, and a Map of Wajaom Woodlands (normally sold for 3000 gil in Aht Urhgan Whitegate); Faursel will also teleport you directly to Wajoam Woodlands, just outside of the city.
