Walkthrough for Special Event - 2006-02 - Valentione's Day

Walkthrough: Don't let this event confuse you. It's actually quite simple once you get the hang of it! The best way to do this is to group up with a partner of the opposite sex. The race of your partner doesn't matter; as with other areas of the game, Mithra are female and Galka are male. You will need to talk to all the Valentione Single NPCs of your sex. There will be 2 in each of the city zones. A piece of paper is handy, as you will need to write down what your Valentione Single tells you. When you talk to them, they will provide pieces of chocolate. After you have spoken with the 4 of your sex and received all 8 pieces of chocolate, and your partner has spoken with the 4 of their and also received all 8 pieces of chocolate, meet at the Moogle to exchange chocolates. Trade your partner all your non-rare/ex pieces of chocolate (the right side), and you will receive your partner's non-rare/ex pieces in return.

Now comes the tricky part! You will need to match up the pieces of chocolate, based on the description on the chocolate items. So if your Elvaan Valentione Single NPC wanted a Tarutaru, you will need to trade your Romance Left Piece and the proper Desire Right Piece to the Moogle at the same time, which will make a whole Romance chocolate, which you will then trade back to the Elvaan. (Note that there are two different "Right Piece" items for each chocolate style, so make sure you look at the item description to trade the right one.) You will do this with all 4 pieces of chocolate and return the pieces to their respective owners. After you have done this (wait for your partner to finish), meet your partner at the Moogle. A perfect match-up will let you get a Charm Wand, and on your second "excellent match" you can get a Charm Wand +1. Note that if you are grouped and your partner are in the same zone when you receive a Wand, your Wand will be inscribed with your partner's name. If you have not perfectly matched them up, you will receive your choice of HQ crystals, Chocobo Ticket or Chocopasses. If you have matched them up perfectly, you can choose those rewards, the appropriate Wand, or a Romance Potion, which restores HP.

This was fun, the NPCs are amusing and it goes quickly with a partner. You can repeat the event every Vana'diel day (approximately every Earth hour.) Below are the locations of each NPC, to help out. Have fun!

The 2007 Item reward it is the same thing as the Charm Wand but its Called Miracle Wand and instead of the Re-Raise effect its Regen
