Walkthrough for Toolbags for Ninja Tools

This mini-quest allows Ninja Tools to be stacked into toolbags. Toolbags hold 99 Ninja Tools, and can themselves be stacked to 12; a full stack of toolbags provides 1188 of a specific Ninja Tool. This is very useful for Ninjas, by making it easier to carry large quantities of tools around without taking up many inventory slots. This is also handy for crafters who make these tools, so that they can store and sell larger quantities of product at once. The most popular toolbag is the Toolbag (Shihe), which holds Shihei tools, since a Ninja can use hundreds of Shihei during an experience party session.

The NPC who puts Ninja Tools into toolbags is Ominous Cloud, who is part of the traveling troupe that appears at the nation in first place in the Conquest Rankings during a particular week. Note: Ominous Cloud is only available in the city that is in first place in the Conquest Rankings; he will never be in another city. When San d'Oria is in first place in the rankings, Ominous Cloud will be found in San d'Oria South; when Windurst is in first place he is in Windurst Woods; he can be found in Bastok Port when Bastok is in first place. If two nations are tied for first place in the Conquest Rankings, the troupe will not be in any city -- Ominous Cloud is only available if a single nation is in first place in the Conquest Rankings.

To obtain a toolbag, trade a stack of 99 tools to Ominous Cloud, along with a Wijnruit for each stack; he will in turn provide a toolbag of that type of tool. For example, if a Wijnruit and a stack of 99 Shihei is traded to Ominous Cloud, a Toolbag (Shihe) will be obtained. Multiple stacks can be traded at one time; 7 stacks and 7 Wijnruits can be traded to receive 7 toolbags at once.

These steps can be repeated an unlimited amount of times, to make as many toolbags as are desired.

A character of any level can perform these steps, at whatever city Ominous Cloud is at that week.
