Client: Carmelo (Steaming Sheep Restaurant, Port Bastok)
Summary: Carmelo wants to start his life anew. You must go throw the song sheet he had written for his former love into the Mirror Lake on the Beaucedine Glacier. |
Requirements: To have completed The Stars Of Ifrit and The Siren's Tear, and have level 5 or higher Bastok fame.
- If you haven't done so, examine the Carrier Pigeon Letter that you received when completing The Stars Of Ifrit quest.
- Talk to Carmelo; he will give you a key item Carmelo's Song Sheet and ask you to place it at the Mirror Pond.
- Go to the pond at G-10 in the Beaucedine Glacier, and select the "Mirror Pond" item that appears there when the sun is out. This can only be done when there is no snow or blizzard weather in Beaucedine Glacier (no ice symbol on the left of the screen.) This is very rare; check with Maleme before going to the glacier, to see what the weather will be like there. A weather message of "gloom with occasional snow" means that snow will taper on and off; you can go that day and wait around for the snow to clear.
- Select the "Mirror Pond" item on the pond at G-10 for a cut-scene.
- Return to Bastok and talk to Carmelo to complete the quest, and receive your reward of a Lamia Harp.

| This quest requires a lot of walking around in Beaucedine Glacier, which has many creatures that are aggressive to anyone under level 54. It is possible to complete the quest at lower levels with generous use of Sneak and Invisibility. |
