Post any changes here regarding the NPC Fellows; behavior changes, new weapons that you can give to them, etc. The new quests that involve NPC Fellows will be listed here, as well.

New quest, "Past Reflections".

1. Talk to Luto.
2. Go to the Windurst Opistery like she instructs you to.
3. Talk to the taru taru in green named Tosuka-Porika.
4. Scare up some Bison Steak, San d'Orian Tea, Icecap Rolanberry, White Bread, Whitefish Stew, and Windurst Salad.
5. Trade them to Tosuka-Porika.
6. Talk to Luto.
7. Go to Port Jeuno and talk to Khumo near the Kazham airship entrance.
8. Quest complete. Still not sure what the reward for this means.

Anyone have any idea what "Bond with NPC has strengthened" really means. Longer duration, better equipment, etc..? I talked to npc and no dialogue options changed. Also how do you unlock new jobs, that was listed somewhere as part of update for npc's?

Did the new quest. I'm able to summon my NPC inside Kuftal Tunnel now. Don't if that's what the upgrade meant cause i didn't try it before finishing the quest. Else, it might be a lvl break. My npc was lvl50 and before i lost him, he said that he was almost to a new level.

It Probably has something to do with the lvl cap (lv50) being raised.. mine is lv 46 now so when i reach lvl 50-51 ill come back and yet ya know if someone else hasnt already figured it out XD

So far I've discovered that the completion of that quest does NOT raise your NPC's level cap. It seems there are 3 other quests tied to it as well...I saw a JP wearing a Tactics Pearl, so I am going to assume that is part of it.

I tried to get him to explain to me how he got it, but we really didn't get anywhere...On a side note, I took my NPC out 3 times since the update and I found her saying this to me when I asked to talk about Quests in Jeuno:

Tsuim: Actually, I've been requested to carry out an investigation of the Emptiness. It appears to be a most complicated phonomenon. If I may, I would like to have your assistance in this matter. I have no strict timetable, so please come along when you are ready.

Just thought I'd post here and say I just received my Tactics Pearl. You get the Emptiness quest info from your NPC, head to any Promy, talk to Rondeauvous Point inside, and find a ???. Not sure how to activate next quest though... Still trying to find out :/. -Erintribal, Asura

You might wanna check any of the Promy zone. While doing Holla last night, I saw a rendez-vous point right after you enter the capped area. Nothing happened when I clicked on it but since your npc referred to it, might be worth checking out. NPC in Promy?? O.O Yes please!

I have not completed this quest yet. I was, however, able to summon my NPC inside Castle O. the other night. I don't think this lets you summon you NPC new places. That seems to simply be a change SE made to the system. A good one too imo.

Is there a list somewhere of the zones you can/an't summon your npc in? Has anyone gotten their npc to take a specific job as opposed to a combat style yet? GROGSMASH™

This is sipposedly how to get your Tactics Pearl. I'm not sure if your NPC has to be LVL50 or not but once you select the quest option at a Rendevous Point and your NPC says the following you're ready:

Actually, I've been requested to carry out an investigation of the Emptiness. It appears to be a most complicated phenomenon. If I may, I would lke to have your assistance on this matter. I have no strict timetable so come along when you are ready."

Then go to one of the Promy zones and find a Rendevous Point. After you check the Rendevous Point, your NPC should appear. From that point you have 45 minutes to find a ???. After you find the ???, check back to any one of the normal Rendevous Point to receive your Tactics Pearl.

The following is probably how to raise your NPCs level cap:

How do you get your NPC to talk about the Emptiness? I've done the first new NPC quest and my NPC only speaks about Palometa and the new metal when I chat with him at the Rendez-vous point. Is there a NPC in Jeuno to talk to before quest the second quest?

My NPC just talked about going into the Promies but before I go, is the ??? point on the first floor or would I need to advance though the promy to find it?

I tried the prommy quest, but i died ;; i cant seem to be able to try it again, its been a day since i tried, and ive lvled my npc since i tried, tried talking to her about quests again, and tried to goto different prommy's that the one i started it at, all do nothing.
Ive even tried clicking the ??? without her thinking that maybe the quest was still active.

Anyone know how to re-activate the quest.

update on the quest: Blighted Gloom

No idea what I did that made the quest available.
According to .dat pulls people have made, Luto will send you to either Korroloka Tunnel, Ordelle's Cave, or Ranguemont Pass to look for Vitrallum. You must find a ???point in the area that will spawn a Metallic Slime (or at least that was the case in ranguemont pass for me).

When you bring the vitrallum back to Luto, she will tell you that you must find a spring of clear water. Go to Jugner Forest and look for the ??? (I'll leave the adventure of finding it to the next person to get the quest). You will get a cutscene with some mysterious unnamed person.

You will get the misson complete sound at the end of the cutscene, and that is the end of the quest.

I did the new quest and my Bond with NPC was stregthened. When I went to rendavous point, a new option appears at bottom of menu....... Chat about Appearance! I was able to equip his headgear. Check it out :)

I'm kinda in the same situation as you are in. I went to Pro-Mea, clicked on RP to spawn my NPC, found the ???, but I got aggroed so clicked through the event really fast, and it gave me an option of some sort but I couldn't read it since I was skimming through it. I thought I was done so I exited Pro-Mea. I got a cutscene but my NPC did NOT get any exp. I went back to the Jeuno RP only to find out no Tactics Pearl.

Hopefully we will be able to try this quest again in the near future. I'm hoping within the next conquest tally. *crosses fingers*.

I had the "Chat about appearance" option before the update when my NPC reached either 33 or 34. So it wasn't a result of the quest

My NPC is level 38 and I already gave him second weapon. Luto is not giving me this quest though... What are the pre-requisites?

I noticed after completing the first quest the NPC was more specific in the chat for one thing

She was pretty specific on what her TNL was, for one. She also (even set as Healer) timed her WSes with mine, even if it didn't skillchain.

Also, about the Promyvion quest: Your NPC Gains experience, I believe this is determined by how long it takes you to find and click the ???

It took me somewhere around 8-10 minutes, and I got 580 Experience. If I had to guess, the max would be 700.

My friend who did it in a longer amount of time got 300 exp.

I still can't flag "Blighted Gloom" though ><. NPC lv 35.
