Just wanted to post the information ive gathered on this quest so far.

Starting Loacation: Upper Jeuno
Starting NPC: Luto MewRilah
NPC Position: G-8

Luto Mewrilah, a mithra, gives you a list of people and asks you to select one person to speak to. You are able to select the Race of the NPC, and then select a name of a specific NPC to speak with. She wants to know if the NPC you select has a "special mirror". You are told she will give you more information once you have spoken to the selected NPC, and then return to her.

Now, I did a search on several Websites beastiality searches for many of the NPC's listed. I found none of them. This tells me they have to either be all new npc's, or npc's that in the past were Insignificant. Im still in the process of completing the quest. This is what I know right now. Until I can track down my NPC I selected, I cant give much more details. Ill post more info If I get it. Feedback is welcomed.

Excellent info, thanks; I made this a sticky. Any further steps are certainly appreciated, along with the name/description of any key items that are obtained throughout the quest.

My friend Trahaearn and I just completed the Fellowship Quests and got my NPC. Here's how to do it.

First, talk to Luto Mewrilah to get the quest in Upper Jeuno. She will give you a list, this let's you chose the race and name of your NPC. Make your selection and talk to the people of Jeuno to start tracking your NPC down. My friend and I talked to a Mithra outside of the Merry Minstrel in Lower Jeuno, but Aceofwilds has said that he talked with Red Ghost in Port Jeuno. Either way, the person you talk to will ask you what kind of hair your NPC has, your answer determins their hairstyle.

Next, go to Bheem in Upper Jeuno (near the gate), he will ask you if the NPCs hair is his favorite color or not. This determines the hair color.

Return to Luto for your Silver Ingot and quest completion. Zone out and talk to her again for the next quest. Go talk to Bheem again after the CS at Luto. Next head G-8 entrance of Eldemie Necropolis and find a ??? inside. Clicking on it will spawn a Skeleton NM, defeat it with the aid of your NPC and speak to the NPC. Head back to Nuto in Jeuno to complete this quest. Once again, zone out and back in to get the next and final quest.

After speaking to Luto again, head to Port San d'Oria and find Portaure and speak to him for a CS. Now head to Fort Ghelsba for a lvl 40 capped BCNM at the Hut Door.

In the BCNM you will be solo fighting a Dragon. After bringing it to half health, your NPC buddy will show up and help you finish it off. After another CS, return to Luto one final time to get your Signal Pearl and the ability to summon your NPC friend.

Nice info man, I'm so relieved that it's nothing annoyingly hard meaning collecting rare drops from monsters too strong for you to fight alone.

I do not know to much, jsut been reading differnet forums, What I posted above is from someone else I'm quote form his post. Though one sad thing I have read is that if you target and hit enter on your npc once you have summoned it you have to wait 20 hour before resummoning the npc. From what I've read from posts there are a few people taht did this not know what would happen(npc says something about parting ways and dissappears.)

I'm, jsut very sad I'm looking at my 6-8 hour patch /cry.

Ok I completed the quest a while back. I forgot to come and post the rest. The post above with all of the Information is 100% correct. I have a screenshot here of the "signal pearl" that is obtained after completing the quest. If you care to see it:

http://venus.walagata.com/w/tim2k4/Pearl.JPG

you guys are welcome to take this screenshot and use it for the site if you would like.

you can tell by the timer of course that I had already used it. The person above is correct. If you try to initiate a conversation with the NPC, he leaves. Most are feeling that this has to be a bug right now. I feel the same way. I was fully aware that he would dissapear if i done that, and I STILL accidently clicked him twice and lost him. This needs to be adressed by SE. It is far too easy to accidently de-summon him.

I also made a Video of the BCNM fight, the completion of the quest, and then the summoning of the NPC and him fighting. If you want to view that, you can get it here:

http://files.filefront.com/Fellowship_Quest_Video/;3950234;;/fileinfo.html

Please not however if you view the video that it is a raw video, with no editing, no music, nothing. I threw it together a few hours back, in order to give everyone a peek into the BCNM fight, and how the NPC summon worked. So dont expect some awesome movie with nice music this time. If you are curious about this quest however, then check it out, it covers the final bcnm, and all the cutscenes.

just to re-iterate :

the 3 known "stylist" NPCs so far are

Red Ghost, Port Jeuno: Near Sandy and Bastok airship entrances
Kuah Dakonsa, Lower Jeuno: Near The Merry MInstrel Meadhouse
Akta, Ru'Lude Gardens: H-10, should be near the Gate Guard whom u can get signet from ( the upper jeuno zone area )

THEN bheem favorite color = type A face
not favorite = Type B Face

there is speculation that there are 5 more NPCs for a total of 8 === > 8 unique faces of each race

What lvl, rank, and fame is minimal. I can't do it so I am wondering why. I have fame lvl of 5 and rank 3 at a lvl 30 TaruTaru White Mage.

Known Issue with the Quest:

Eldemie Necropolis and find a ??? inside. Clicking on it will spawn a Skeleton NM, defeat it with the aid of your NPC and speak to the NPC.

If you do not talk to your NPC after the CS you will not be able to do complete the quest. There is currently no way to fight the NM more than once, so make sure to talk with the NPC after your defeat the nm and see the first cs.

Another known issue is for bst fighting the skel NM, do not let your pet get the last hit in or it will not count if your pet gets teh last hit in.

BCNM - happend to a ls member - do not kill the dragon to fast, you have to let your npc join you in killing it before you are done or it will not count.
