Quote from: Kyprinia Today (Day 12) I got the message that my chocobo has been "Quite perky lately" and should be receptive to "anything I give it" now. The status update also says, "Your chocobo has been receiving plenty of affection, and seems extremely happy. It is in excellent condition now." For those of you lucky ones who learned stories... maybe what you needed to wait for was this. As for me, I still only have the same two care options, watching over and walking, as well as the same 3 care plan options. I'm assuming it's a good thing though! When I watched over her, her message became "Your chocobo is in high spirits." There was no change in her daily walk. For care, I've been paying special attention to not overfeeding or over caring-for. I've generally done each care option only once a day, so she usually doesn't drop below 2/3 health. Her affection hovers near "parent" level, though possibly because of the steady diet of vegetable paste. I only feed when I get the message "she is neither hungry nor full" or anything that says she is hungry. Consequently, she's never had a stomach ache. When I feed, I've fed her only paste so far. Vegetable paste mainly, though yesterday I got my first crop of vomp carrots so I gave her a special carrot paste treat. I suspect the carrot paste had nothing to do with the "responsive" message. And yes, all status indicators are still at "poor", still no increase. I'll be carefully watching my mule's chocobos to see if they get the same message in a few days. So far all I've managed to confirm as that one does not need a chocobo in order to finish the white hankie quest, as one of my mules can't even ride. She just ran across a few zones and it was fine. Additionally, both characters in San d'Oria have made friends with Air, and my Windurst chocobo has made friends with Spring. I would bet my whiskers that if I had a Bastok mule they'd meet Blood.
