Quote from: Synbios I have played FFXI on my PC for a long time. However, recent events have forced me to begin playing on the PS2, though I would much rather do so on the Xbox 360. Now, I have all the expansion packs up to point for the PC. Using the PS2 I dont have said expansions as I do not have the games in PS2 format. However, I noticed that all the files that updated are essentially structured in the same manner as that of the PC. So, my question is as follows: Is it possible to set the PS2 HDD as a slave on a normal PC, then transfer the expansion .DATS into it? If its possible, I would think it theoretically possible to gain access to expansion areas as long as one has them enabled. The only flaw I see in this theory is either: A) The requirment of the original PS2 Media to be inserted whenever expansion areas are loaded B) There is some kind of registry code installed during the PS2 expansion pack installation, or C) The PS2 HDD cannot be read by a PC. (Though I am sure software to read a PS2 HDD exists.) If anyone can answer this question, it would be most appreciated. I would prefer not to have to go out and repurchase games I already own.
