I got the Trick Staff II on my first attempt, first NPC. The next item I got, while wearing the Trick Staff II, was the Treat Staff II. Wearing Treat Staff II, they tried to give me a new Trick Staff II (so I'm assuming that if you wear a "HQ" they give you the NQ). Wearing nothing, I got a Trick Staff I, which while wearing I got a Treat Staff I. This was all within 3 RL hours (while doing other stuff too). I don't recall if I was wearing anything when I randomly got a Pumpkinhead II, but immediately, the next item I got (while wearing P2) was the Horrorhead II.
