Quote from: Dora from Pandy Thieves till 15 offer very little to a party. Your damage is nothing special and unless you sub warrior you can't do much in a party aside from pull and DD. That means if I were you (and I have been) I'd be prepared to solo to 15 or at the very least be willing to make the parties. These levels can be difficult and tedious but can also be a great time to make gil if you know where to fight (killing masses of things that drop fire crystals or such can be great gil especially to lower level players). That being said I have some advice for you that will make you prepared to be a great thf later. Use archery while leveling your thf. It does good damage and though thieves don't have high skill at certain levels you can one shot things for 12-18xp raking in the xp and crystals and drops. Once you hit 15 start working on marksmanship. This will be expensive but very very worth it. Acid bolts will be your cheapest means of leveling marskmanship but also extremely valuable to your party because of the defense down effect. If I had to do it all over again the moment I could level marksmanship I'd try to find a higher level player to help my PL the skill (only the skill as in be partied with them). To hit with any regular basis once you are partying you'll probably want to use an equip macro to equip bone rings for your ranged attack and another macro for going back to melee gear.
