Basic info has now been added for the Imperial Standing Notorious Monsters (ISNM), in the patch Compilation of Info.

Please post here with any further fight details or drops, from any of these new fights. We especially need info on which of the five different Chocobo Eggs are obtained from what ISNMs.

These items i believe are a mistake as you cant buy the items that are listed at the vendor here and instead the eggs are listed. one of these items happens to be the Mog house exit quest flower for bastok

I've got some useful info on the Shadows of the Mind ISNM. A blm can kill the spawned puks with thundaga III, but it isn't necessary. They actually despawn after a little while.

On our 3rd run, our blm started disconnecting right as people entered the BC, and we were forced to attempt this without him. Our plan had been for our bard to sleep the spawned puks right as they appear and let the blm nuke them. Without a blm... well, we decided to see how much I could do with smn's AoE attacks.

We were discussing this with the puks standing there sleeping. By the time we decided and I started summoning an avatar... the spawned puks vanished.

So for our later runs (blm came back, thankfully), instead of keeping the blm ready to thundaga the pops, we just let him nuke the main one. Sped things up tremendously. ^_^

Sleep didn't seem to work, but lullaby worked very well. Occasionally it would miss 1 of the pops, or 1 would wake up early, but that was completely manageable.

I definitely recommend a bard for this one. Keep him ready to Horde Lullaby instead of singing other stuff. There's a little time for buffs while the puks are sleeping.

You do not need to have the Key Item in order to enter the battle - so the Key Item for entry acts like a BCNM orb and not like the ENM item.

OK so my LS did a couple runs on the Compliments to the Chef LV75 3k pt. ISNM in Talacca Cove. We went in SMN/WHM, BLM/WHM, RDM/DRK, THF/NIN, MNK/NIN, PLD/WAR. This setup did not work. But this is what we learned. This is a tough little fish and the description given is a little inaccurate.

The Seismic Tail move does about 400 damage on top of full shadows. It does a lot more damage without them, so I would suggest /NIN on anyone within distance.

The problem with this though is that a PLD tank is really needed for this due to the 1000+ dmg Deathgnash attack that can't be blinked. We didn't try PLD/NIN, and I'd be a little worried about hate issues with the reset and all, but folks say it's effective in many situations. Just make sure no one nukes right after Deathgnash.

The Abominable Belch move, described as an line of sight cone attack, managed to still hit the melees behind the mob. For that reason I would suggest two others have /WHM to assist with status healing. And SMN healer did not work here. Need a WHM for sure.

And that damned Leeching Current move. It really sucks a lot of HP. My idea was to stun this move, but it goes off fast and is hard to stun. We had two stunners but the more the merrier.

I guess from what we saw I would suggest a setup of WHM/BLM, BLM/WHM, RDM/WHM or BRD/WHM, DRK/NIN, PLD/NIN, and a melee with /NIN.

Although my guess would be that the new merit moves are crucial in the strategies of these new ISNM's so maybe in time more light will be shed on the subject.

Tried "Compliments to the Chef" earlier today 6/6. Many deaths, but if someone dropped, we kited him for a while until we got him/her up. First, the drop list may be erroneous as we did not receive any of the new weapons. We did however get 2 requiem flutes. /NIN is a must for melees, otherwise seismic tail will destroy you (our setup was WHM/BLM, RDM/WHM, BLM/WHM, SAM/NIN, NIN/WAR, and MNK/WAR- i was pretty much useless aside from chi blasting because of the damage I took from seismic tail). Gravity and bind work for easy kiting where the melee can pile up some damage without much fear of the specials. And Deathgnash only seems to reduce the targets HP to 1, as opposed to a static number. This mob cannot be slept, even with Elemental Seal. Plauge cannot be erased, which pretty much will reset your TP if you have it stored. It also helped immensly to either use haste/erase after Seaspray to overwrite the slow. The key to winning seems to be a combination of kiting and blinking this mob.

Plague can be removed with Viruna.
