Post here with any data you have about the new Job Abilities, Job Traits, and spells that can be unlocked through the new merit point section.

See the Merit Points Addition section of the July 2006 FFXI Patch Compilation of Info for the basic details about what is known so far, for them. We'll keep updating that, as more info is known.

Chivalry converts 150% of TP to MP with 1 merit, so 100TP turns into 150MP.

Assassin Charge does not stack with sneak attack, but it does stack with weaponskill.

Formless Strikes is useless if not high def mob (gelatine, turtle, elemental) 3min last, 10min recast.

Figured I'd chime in, people have figured out basicly what Tomahawk does, it apparently reduces the physical damage penalty of certain weapons (ie: piercing vs bones) versus certain types of mobs.

Invigorate adds 10hp/tick regen after chakra for 24 seconds, so you get +80 for first merit, 240 HP total over 1:12 fully merrited. only downside is that it actually gives the regen buff, so it wont stack with drinks/spells. I have yet to find out if it overwrites regen.

Btw Chivalry 300tp caps mp recovered 490 MP cap. I have 588 MP as PLD solo set up and I tried it.

Will work with sneak attack, but will give first strike Sneak Attack damage and give 2 more swings gaurenteed.

Assasin's Charge will guarantee 3 swings, not 3x damage. Tested/Confirmed.

I'm sure Warrior's Charge does the same thing...guarantees next turn will give 2 swings, not 2x damage.

Group 1 merits for BLU, COR and PUP have been added together with the Group 2 merits for the other 15 jobs.
