The October 2006 FFXI Patch Compilation of Info is up! All new items are now listed, including the weapons, armor, and inventory items.

You just updated your web site with the Kumokirimaru in the new items. It says that the weapon is all races ALL jobs and base damage 80. That is impossible. There are many jobs that cannot equip a katana. Just imagine what would happen if a thief equiped it and was granted a base damage 80 weapon for a SAta.

You should double check that one. I'm certain that weapon is not useable by all jobs. If it was the game would be broken and a patch would soon be out.

Just a followup to the post. Alla has the updated info on that item already. It is SAM only. That is the correct info. Perhaps you should fix that ^^.

Some info about the new Beastmen, the Frogs, Poroggo:

They are in Mamook at the small lake (F7-G7). They are all called Poroggo, they don't seem to have different jobs.

EM-T++ to a 75 SMN, 105 limit points with IS bonus from IT++

Truesight!!!
Spells: Flare, Fire IV, Firaga, Breakga, Poisonga
Abilities: Sleepga TP move, Silencega TP move, Magic Hammer (did 250 to Fenrir)

Sleep and stun works. They are weak to physical damage and their normal attacks are relatively weak too.

Did not try to silence cause only subjob WHM. With Silence they should be relatively easy to kill. They can be annoying though like we know from previous FF games.

Thanks for the feedback. That was indeed an error; the flags got switched around on that item, so it ended up showing as "All" for the jobs, instead of "SAM", as it's listed in the data files. That is now corrected, and it's displaying properly.

Did anyone notice that there are now 2 Mercenary's mantles in the game? One for lvl 30 and the new one for lvl 70.

volounteer's khud drops off devout radol ja in mamook. definately HNM material, this @#%^ takes one long beating, has regen although thankfully no aoe spells. has a metric @#%^ton of HP, but relatively easy to whittle down.

Thanks for the info, everyone; keep that coming, and we'll get it updated as possible. The compilation of info is now updated with a slew of new recipes, detailing most of the new craftable items. As for the duplicate item name, they do that occasionally; apparently they don't check when making new items, or at least the translated name to them. It will likely be fixed in the next patch.

Thanks for the info, everyone. The Compilation of Info has been updated again, covering most of the rest of the additions and changes seen in the data files. Sirius Axe has finaly been found. acording to other bst on alla it drop off of Hydra not Dragonscaled Bugaal Ja. Still no idea what its hidden effects are, if it even has any, or any apperent use for it
