I'm about to start staticing my BRD with my friends and we are trying to find alternate campsites so that we dont get stuck in places with alot of other parties around. Since I'll probably be lead of most of these parties, I've been researching better places to camp. I've looked at the campsites r us blog and some other things. I ended up looking at some exp tables that talks about how exp is calculated and I noticed a discrepency between some of the tables. For example, one says that for a level 60 character to get chains higher than 5, you would need to kill the mob within 70 seconds. Another table I looked at says 60. My question is, why does these charts have different anwers? Or am I just reading something wrong? http://ffxi.somepage.com/links/exp_....html#chain http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/index.php/...ience_Chain http://vnboards.ign.com/message.as...;replies=20 Somepage and vnboards seem to have the same answers, but even then, theres still a discrepincy. Somepage says that the numbers are based off of the mobs levels, wherase vnboard says its based off of the characters levels. My best guess would be that its actually based off of the players level. If this is the case, then does this means that all the other data is also based off of player level and not monster level? Here's an example to explain my question: Lets say a party of level 46s Kill a level 51 mob. According to somepage, we base the chains off of the monsters level. So the amount of time needed for chains would go 300 > 240 > 180 ect. The amount of exp for the kill (without counting the bonuses from chains) would be 108. However, based on the other charts ive seen, it would be based on players level. so the time for chains would be 250 > 200 > 150 ect. The amount of exp earned would be 119. I'm wondering which of these is correct.
