This is for discussion and information on three specific sets of changes mentioned in the July 19 patch notes:

  • Monster locations have been adjusted, particularly in Chains of Promathia areas. The following areas will be affected:
Bibiki Bay, Uleguerand Range, Attohwa Chasm, Newton Movalpolos, Promyvion – Holla, Promyvion – Dem, Promyvion – Mea, Promyvion – Vahzl, Lufaise Meadows, Phomiuna Aqueducts, the Sacrarium, Riverne – Site #A01, Riverne – Site #B01, the Garden of Ru’Hmet, Ro’Maeve, the Boyahda Tree, the Den of Rancor, the Shrine of Ru'Avitau, Kuftal Tunnel
-- What was moved, to where?

  • The strength of monster techniques has been adjusted, particularly in Chains of Promathia areas. -- Details on the changes here.

  • Creatures summoned by monsters (excluding elementals) have had their names changed to “(Monster’s name)’s Avatar” for consistency. - What mobs have changed names?

Post all changes about mobs here.

New mob in Bibiki Bay: Tragopan (bird). DC-T to L72 (71-73?). ~6 spawns in the G6-F7 area. Linking, not aggro. No unusual drops yet.

Also, the new Catoblepas in the G-6 area seem to be 76-78, while the ones farther south that were there before remain 78-80.

well, not too sure if this belongs here but hey, i'll say it anyway...

Argus is still an 18-30 hour window and not 2-6, I've been camping him religously since the update and i can assure you he does not pop every 2-6 hours. He is still linked to Leech King but as i said, Argus is still the same window (18-30 hours) after the update as it was before the update.

I just don't want people spending hours apon end camping for what they think is 2-6 hours^^ thanks =P

Thanks for that info; he (and the Leech King) have been changed back.

Any luck with the drop, btw?

Also, Argus can pop in the hallway and bigger room connected to the smaller one... this means positions (J-9) (J-8) and (K-8). It was changed because the pop being in the small room alone was too easily botted.

===============King Vingarroon============

a few new NM, King Vingarroon (I'll need to do a spell check) it pops in Western Altepa desert. Rumored to only pop at 2x earth and 21-24 hours. Scorpion type NM, pops @ position (H-10) and (G-10). Drops are Venemous Claw and a head gear item that i believe enhances STR. I will look it up and give you a full analysis on this NM.

This mob is outragously strong. It ia the size of 2-3 Serkets. It is claimed to be Kirin+1 or Vrtra-1 in toughness to kill. It has intense Regen effect. Uses all Scorpion moves as well as some other special TP attacks. It seems to have to be claimed extremely quickly... It seems to pop, and aggro anyone in the immediate area, kill them and depop but will resurface again. (ie. Taru BLM in my Alliance got jumped and was TP-ed by King V. His HP went from 800 to 0 instantly and King V was gone) King V also has the ability to drawn in people make him hard / impossible to kite. poaaible even has a whole alliance draw in but i have not confirmed.

Recommended PT of 18+ Lv. 75 with well balanced PT.

that's all for now, contact me @ blackashes73@yahoo.com and i can email you a full analysis of this NM including headgear drop name, name (need to check spelling), and other TP/ special attacks.

spawn points and other stats i named are accurate... one thing is for sure... he is a beast

All this should be reflected now, either in the New Notorious Monsters section of the Compilation of Info, or in the newly added Changed Mobs section. That latter area has details on all the known changes so far, in the zones that were listed as being changed in the patch notes.

Any further info on these is certainly appreciated.

Places of mobs have changed in Uleguerand Range.

Nivel Raptors are now found in I-10 J-10 J-11 and K-11

Kindred Demons start showing up lower on the climb to the top of the mountain as well. The molech-type mobs have also been moved lower. I believe this was to make Uleguerand Range support more exp parties. # of spawn points, places, ect. are unknown as Uleguerand scares me....
