Client: Black Mud (Ore Street, Bastok Mines)

Summary: Black Mud has asked you to fetch him some Drachenfall water from North Gustaberg.

Walkthrough for Drachenfall

Talk to Black Mud; he gives you a Brass Canteen to fill with water from the Drachenfall. If you wish to skip the process of steps 2 and 3, you can buy Drachenfall Water from the Auction House and turn it in.
To do all of the quest yourself, take the canteen to Dangruf Wadi and head north. You will go through two geysers that move you up to a higher ledge. The first geyser is at I-8, and the next is at the far northeast area of the zone, at J-3. After going up that geyser you will follow an unmarked path leading northeast into a hidden section of Gustaberg North.
Once in Gustaberg North head east, cross the bridge, then go further east to the waterfall. Trade the Brass Canteen to the Waterfall Base to recieve Drachenfall Water.
Return to Bastok and trade the Drachenfall Water to Black Mud to complete the quest and receive your gil reward.

Note that the Gustaberg North location for the quest An Explorer's Footsteps is in the cave nearby, and it is easy to complete them both at the same time.

Recommended Level for Drachenfall

Soloable at level 1, if you purchase the Drachenfall Water instead of getting it yourself. To complete all the steps in the quest, a character must be level 33+ to avoid any aggression from the goblins and pugils in the unmapped sections of Dangruf Wadi and Gustaberg North. Alternately, sneak and invis can be used by lower level characters; invis is needed most of the time to get past the many goblins, and sneak or very careful movement is required to avoid the Sand Pugil. A group of level 18-20 characters would be able to fight their way through, although the goblins do tend to hang out in groups, making it difficult to pick them off one at a time.
