Client: Virnage (Bat's Lair Inn, Bastok Mines)
Summary: Virnage needs a bucket of divine paint to restore the statue of Altana to Her former glory. He advised you to look for it in a citadel on the Sauromugue Champaign. |
- Talk to Virnage.
- Go to Garlaige Citadel and find the ??? in one of the rooms on the first map. It moves in between various spots within the 12 rooms in a grid. Be careful when walking around; don't fall into the holes in the floor of the hallway. Once you find the ??? click on it to receive the Bucket of Divine Paint key item.
- Return to Bastok and talk to Virnage, which gives him the paint; he will then provide the Letter From Virnage key item.
- Go to San d'Oria North and talk to Eperdur to complete the quest, and receive your reward of the Scroll of Teleport-Dem.

| To solo, this quest requires either a level 55+ character or the use of Sneak and Invisibility. Sneak is needed for the undead Fallen Evacuees found within the rooms that contain the ???, while invis is needed for the occasional Borer Beetle in the hallways and the Poruboros bombs in the rooms. Attention should be paid to any monsters that might be pulled from lower parts of the Citadel by the groups found at the entrance, as well. It can be difficult to find the ??? and dangerous once it is found, since dropping invis to touch it will bring aggro from any nearby bombs. Patience and some quick movement with spells or items for the sneak and invis is required. A group of mid-40s characters could fight their way through the beetles, undead and bombs, but it would be a lengthy process given the amount of movement that is usually required to locate the ???. |
