Summary: You have been asked to return a dropped item to its rightful owner. The passenger should be on the next airship flight.

Walkthrough for A Discerning Eye (San d'Oria)

Talk to Eddy; he will show you a picture of the passenger and give you the dropped item to return. Make special note of the details on the passenger's clothes, especially what is worn on their head, hands and feet.
When the airship takes off, look at all the passengers on board and find the one that matches the picture you saw earlier. You can talk to any of the passengers and return the Dropped Item; if you give it to the proper passenger, you'll receive 500 gil. If you give it to the wrong passenger, you receive nothing.

This quest can be repeated, and is available from any of the four cities that have airships going to Jeuno (Bastok, Kazham, San d'Oria, Windurst.) Note that if you do not give the Dropped Item to one of the passengers on the airship, you cannot repeat this quest or obtain any of the A Discerning Eye quests from any other city until you return to Eddy and talk to him again. He will take the Dropped Item back, after which you can repeat the quest.

After completing any of the Discerning Eye quests a number of times, you will receive the title "Very Discerning Individual" instead of "Discerning Individual", when they are completed. Completing them many more times will give the title "Extremely Discerning Individual".

Recommended Level for A Discerning Eye (San d'Oria)

Soloable at any level, with an airship pass.
