Just soloed this as a lvl 10 RDM, no sub, DoT and kite around on of the rocks he spawns near.<br /> He de-agros every now and then, giving you time to rest mp.<br /> As long as poison or Dia is up, he wont regen Hp when you are Resting mp.

I just randomly ran into this guy while I was harvesting in West Sab. I was a 44 WHM so I beat him easily. Sure enough, he dropped the wand.
