white mage maat fight

oh i'm a level 68 whm almost to 69 like 7k tnl but i was going to do the xp scroll trick. Some people ask me what is that well its when you get close level liek to level 69 but get about 200-100 tnl then quit the party. Then get a xp scroll and get fight maat then when it looks bad just use it to gain level 69 you will get hp and mp full and but thats not why i'm here. i was wondering if anyone knows any hints tips anything about the white mage maat fight that i could use please help me out thank you so much. Oh and do i have to stay alive for 5 mins or do i have to take a amount of damage for the old man to give up?

U never pull ur weapon,open by paralyze/slow.
You have to sustain "X" amount of DMG b4 maat quits.
Gear heavily DEF
AF is fine
2x phalanx rings
2x bat earrings w/ blind potions
earth staff (usually pld friend will have)
Druids Rope
Eat Tavnazian Taco
bring 3yag drinks n 2 hi-ethers
bring remedies, you will be paralyzed and better to use
items than MP to remedy it, and keep echo drops.
(i dont remember him silencing me, but whm would)
dont bother with cure2s use mostly cure4 (most HP per MP spent)
When i did it , i did on 1st attempt, I had to use bene, which is a good idea to macro for this fight, but Crow/Raven gear wasnt available, You may opt for som pieces of that. GL to U :)
