July 24 Patch - New Quests

"Striking a Pose"
Location: Aht Urgan Whitegate
NPC's involved: Wazyih (above Whitegate MH) and Saliyahf (G-7 by the stairs).

Talking to either NPC will trigger this quest.

After initial cutscene, talk to the NPC you didn't start quest with and then go talk to the first NPC you talked to.

Go to Balrahn Way (Look at map if you don't know where it is, and walk between the two merchant stalls on the south side to trigger another event.

Talk with both the NPC again, in any order you want.

Then head to Al'Zahbi and run around searching for a "" target (nameless target) wich moves around a little, and get the key item.

Go to Balrahn Way again for another cutscene, I went from Al'Zahbi zone.

Talk to Wazyih, then talk to Saliyahf and recieve your award.

Award: 3 Imperial Bronzepiece

Blue Mage Artifact Walk-Through

Ok here is a short guide, I will add to as the AF continues to be released as of current AF1 and 2 are accessable. This guide offers a comprehensive walk through on how to get it done.

Artifact1 Weapon: Beginnings
Immortal's Scimitar LV40 DMG26 Delay 236 MP+10 STR+1 INT+1

Starting NPC: Waoud
Level Req: 40
Quest Over View: An unavoidable decision...
If you would seek even greater power, meet with the Immortals stationed at the Azouph Isle, Dvucca Isle, Mamool Ja, Halvung, and Ilrusi staging points.

Go to each staging point and talk to the immortal. A short cut-scene will occur. After talking to each of the 5 immortals, return to Waoud for your scimitar. Wait 1 day JP time for next quest.

Quest Over View: The only choice you have left is to forge ahead in the quest for power, or face your own destruction...
If ambition still fuels your soul, head to the Navukgo Execution Chamber and obliterate the monstrous flan!

Talk to Waoud after 1JP day, and get CS. Travel to Halvung and get a cast metal plate from a ??? spawn to open halvung gates. Travel to the island and enter the BC arena. Here you will fight a flan. Soloable by LV65+. More than one flan will appear if you take lots of people. After clearing the BC fight, travel back to Waoud and get a envelope. If you examine the key item it explains to go to F-8 2nd floor of whitegate to a NPC behind a sales counter. Here you will be told to travel to Aydeewa. Enter Aydeewa from the woodlands at K-9. Follow the path to a pond where there is an un-named targetable point in the pond. This will trigger a CS for the master armor crafter. Return to whitegate and talk to the NPC at F-8 for your boots. Wait 1 JP day for next AF.

Artifact3 Head: Transformations
Magus Keffiyeh LV60

Starting NPC: Waoud
Level Req: 50
Quest Over View: A juvenile soulflayer has been discovered in the Alzadaal Undersea Ruins. Make your way to the ruins and eliminate this threat.

This quest is not yet available. Details will be posted upon completion.

There's another blank target behind one of the merchant's tents on the north side of that plaza you're in right as you zone into Al Zhabi from Whitegate. (For the "Striking a Balance" quest.)

There is also a blank target in the moat (yes, drop down in the water) near the entrance that the invading forces always break into first...under a ramp.
