ok i just got corsair and it's level 9 almost 10 and i'm ready to go to Dunes. I was just asking if anyone knows what to do as a Corsair in a party. I know that you use daggers and you roll dice to help your party out and you use guns for high damage, but is there more to know about it please tell me if you know that would help me a lot thank you so much. /bow ^^ =D

Good Luck

You could also pull enemies if you wanted to, COR's do a great job of that. ^.^

Not really, seeing as their weapon of choice is gun, which is pretty much the slowest pulling weapon in the game aside from like... engaging a mob with a scythe or something.
...actually that would be faster.

But that doesnt mean they dont get asked to pull though.

Understand that your role in party is a -support- and not a -damage dealer-, focus on giving out beneficial roll, keeping them active at all time, even if it means sacrificing the "valluable" attack time.

First thing first, learn the area of effect(AoE) of your roll(they are all the same, so learn 1 learn all), at lv20, you will have to seperate backline job's roll and frontline's roll, as only 2 of the roll can be active on a character at a time.

Try to determine which roll is most helpful to your party. Personally, I roll Chaos and Hunter roll all the way thru Dunes, unless requested by some dumb leaders, reason being:

killing 2 monsters in less than 5 mins give more exp than, killing 1 monster in 5 mins with an average 12% exp boost.
2x 200 = 400
1x (200 + (200 x 12%)= 224
Even at max COR roll(11 isn't that often...)...
1x (200 + (200 x 24%)= 248

At lv20 onward, I roll Chaos roll at start of fight, when my Phantom Roll is ready again, I run back to roll a Healer roll for the mages, then when my phantom roll is back once again, I will roll hunter roll for the melee, this way, I will have accuracy+ and hMP+ on myself, which is helpful for me to land a few hits and for the hMP when I rest.

Primary subjob I chose for COR is WHM, as they don't have many good gun at lower level, but at higher level, I will broaden the subjob selection to NIN WHM and RNG.

As for pulling, as previously mentioned, gun has incredibly slow attack, making it less ideal for pulling: you have a chance of getting aggro while your gun is charging, forcing you to choose a safer spot to start your gun's "charger"; if you are at a crowded camp, a fast pulling puller is always better than Delay 840(NQ gun) COR.
That being said, as most people would chicken out at the sound of "you pull", be prepared to pull, as COR is a gun-user.
