Picture Perfect

Post any discussion here of the quest added in the October 10 patch, Picture Perfect. From the data files: Quest Name: Picture Perfect Nation: Other Client: Diederik (Port, Selbina) Diederik has lost a painting ordered by a valued customer. He wants you to help him earn time or get a new painting before anyone notices.

Fellowship limit break quest starts after speaking to Diederik NPC in Selbina, along the coast. If he doesn't give you quest - you might want first to cap your NPC level to 50.99 and also complete quest with finding ??? for your NPC in Promyvions, as discussed earlier.

Then he presumably lets you choose on of the two:
1) Go to Angelica in Windurst Waters second floor of Rarab Tail cottage or what was that house called.
2) Go to Umberto in Bastok Markets.

For now someone tried the way going to Umberto first.
After talking to him, get pickaxes and go using it on mining points in Koroloka Tunnel untill you dig "the shell of the val shellfish". Hand it to Umberto.
After that visit Diederik in Selbina.
Now we go to Castle Oztroja east courtyard, through some door to ???, inspecting which spawns Black Yagudo to fight. After killing it we inspect ??? again.
Report to Umberto (and Angelica?).
Fellow NPC now should be able to reach lvl55, congratulations!

Can Anyone elaborate on how to get to the ????? in Oztoja? I have been through the east courtyard and walked all over Oz and have not seen the ??? I gave the shell to the old man is there anything alse I need to do before comming here? Can someone who has done this post instructions on how to get through Castle Oz. Thnx

The ??? is behind a brass door. When you click the door you first get a cutscene. After that click the door again to enter and find the ???. The door is on the 2nd floor on the west side on top of the area with all the NM pops.

i got the quest from selbina n i choose angelica route. when i get to her, she called me to get lost coz she is busying painting T-T how? my npc is stuck at lv50.999 now /cry help me out.

Well My NPC is now capped at 50.99, I have done the prom quest with my NPC 2x already completed and got the Tactics Pearl twice already. I have high fame in all towns, and have already done the 4th weapon upgrade for my NPC as well as Blighted Gloom. I have no idea what I need to do to get this quest from Diedrick, any ideas? He says something about waiting for a painting for a customer from Angelica but doesn't give me any quest. I do not have the Picture Perfect quest listed under quest list. I have tried going to talk to Angelica and she just tries to give me the quest where I pose for a painting from her. I have talked to her a few times, zoned etc no luck.

You must pose for her painting to finish her quest. This is a prerequisite for the Picture Perfect quest. If you do not pose for the painting you will never get G1 for your NPC.

After you pose for her, she will give you a cool painting you can hang in your Mog house and you can go get the NPC G1 going.

This quest is quite annoying in the prerequisites to get it going; I haven't been able to get it activated, and have my NPC stuck at capped xp 50, as well. I've personally completed the quest from Angelica, but started the A Question of Taste quest in Kazham and never got around to finishing it; best I can tell, if that quest is active, Picture Perfect won't activate.

So, the best bet is to finish the first quest from Angelica, make sure you do not have A Question of Taste activated, and you should be able to get it. If anyone has other info on exactly what's required to start the quest, that'd be helpful.

I went the way of Windurst. But I can't figure out why I’m not getting the cut-scene at the brass door in Castle Oztroja (and I’ve e been to every brass door there I can find).. I’ve been back to talk to all 3 npc at windurst, bastok, and selbina. I’ve been told by angelica to get the Opalescent Stone. Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong? Oh and I have both the signet pearl and tactics pearl equipped when I do all this.

1 thing i do know is that is you have rejected the quest where you pose for Angelica before, you can still do that quest if you zone and then talk to her again. At least that worked for me back in the day when i did it.
