summoner help

i've started the summoner quest and have all of the elements except for fire. i was wonderind if anyone had any ideas on how i could do this.

Meriphitaud Mountains has fire sometimes once a day but only for a short while (like 10 minutes RL time). I'd say if you camp out there for 2 days you stand a very good chance of getting it. Also the jungles can have fire weather and the link on the left hand side of this page near the bottom will list other zones as well.

I'm rebirthing this thread, and taking it in a completely different direction.

I just got summoner, and was wondering how to get more avatars. I see people going around with lvl 1 and all avatars all the time, was wondering how they got them. Can I enter the lvl 20 mini-trials with a level 20 job, and smn subbed? Smn would not be 20, but I would be both lvl 20 AND a smn, so to speak. My highest lvl is only 30.

you could do the prime fights at lvl 60 much much harder though but it's uncapped and you can go in there with a pt

Two ways to get the avatars 1. Take SMN to level 20 and perform a solo battle with each avatar. You must be at least level 20 SMN to get do this. 2. Take any job to level 65 and perform a full party battle with each avatar. You do not have to be SMN to do this one. This is how level 1 SMNs can have avatars.

I am not able to get the fire weather element. I have been zoning in Dunes, Mountains, Jungle but nothing.

I have been doing this for a week.. But i have got nothing.

I only need Fire....

DO i have to keep zoning orwait for the red icon above the compass? Is it possible that the weather conditions are different in other parts of the zone where these elements can happen....

In other words can it be that i am to zone on the other side of a zone...???

I havent had a Fire spell since i start doing this quest and i have been doing it for a week now.

Please help.

Hello,

To get the elements, you have to zone INTO an area that has that effect. When I got fire, I ran to the Dunes, parked myself at the zone line and waited for fire to roll. Zoned out and came back in. That did it.

As far as I know, weather is the same consistently throughout a zone, so it wont have one side of a zone be different than the other.

Have you considered talking to one of the weather forcasting npc's? I dont recall talking to them, but I thought they will tell you if a specific type of weather is coming for a specific zone, but I dont know for sure.
