I originally got game from friend who game me buddy pass and then i downloaded of the net. Since the game she got came with the rise of the zilart expansion, can the same registration code be used for me to register the expansion or do i have to purchase the expansion seperately myself?

You will need to purchase the expansion (for Zilart, that requires buying the main set, since Zilart was never sold separately for North American clients.) Each registration code only works for a single account.

In fact, now I think that it is the same for the Chains of Promathia expansion, or at least it will become like this (the fact that it is sold in the same package as the original game)

If you have a PS2, this is basically true for Aht Urghan already. My wife works at a video game store, they do not expect any more PS2 Aht Urghan disks to be shipped.
