Ok, Now I have searched and searched everywhere, but I can't find ANY info on these so called "swirling vortex"es..... I have an idea of what they do(not sure), but I have NO idea of how they work >_>

Do you have to do a certain task to make them work, how do they work, and where can I find them. These are my questions, I hope someone can finally give me answer(s) ^_^

According to my (more than possibly wrong) research, there is no way to get to the Tavnazian Archipelago by foot/chocobo. I hope that is wrong....:)
I haven't had the opportunity to travel to the nearby regions, so I know nothing nothing of the place really, other than it looks really nice and forest-nature-ish...XD I want to go there!

So I hope you can excuse me for my pathetic jibbering and this long post....

You need to complete Chains of Promathia missions to use the Swirling Vortexes. The Vortex in Valkurm leads to Lufaise Meadows and can be used once you flag and complete Promyvion - Dem, Promyvion - Holla and Promyvion - Mea. The Qufim vortex leads to Riverne and doesn't open up until further into the Promathia missions.

This is not true. Both vortex's can be used after completeing the 3 Promyvion's. The one in Valkurm does lead to Lufaise Meadows, and the one in Qufim goes to Misearaux Coast.

To use both vortexes you need to complete the chapter 1 of CoP, i.e. to beat Promyvion Dem/Holla/Mea. Once completed you can use both vortexes. The one in Qufim leads to Misearaux Coast, the one in Dunes to Lufaise Meadows. You can enter the vortexes only by foot.

He's right...

Here's what you have to do:

- Get the cinematic with Bahamut in the tower in Qufim (you only need to enter the tower)
- Get back to Jeuno -> Lower -> Upper Jeuno
- In upper Jeuno, go get another cinematic in the infirmary by talking to the Elvaan doctor I forgot the name of.
- Go get another cinematic in Ru'Lude Garden; head to the castle, and follow the left wall. Enter the little room overthere (Guard's Room I think). talk to one of them to get cine.
- Chapter 1 is now fully flaged; you need to go do the 3 Promyvions. They are all caped at Lv30, and can be accessed by the Broken crystals at each crags(Mea-Holla-Dem).
- Those things aren't easy; you seriously should try to find a experienced Promyvion raider to guide you through.(someone who has done many)
- I've done quite a lot of Promyvions(about 18 succesfull raids, ENMs excluded) and I personnally propose you to find a party with:
¤ 1 Tank (preferably a PLD with 3-4 Hi-Potions)
¤ 1 SMN
¤ 1 WHM
¤ 3 Strong Damage Dealers(BST-MNK-SAM-RNG-BST-BLM-SMN)

After completing the 3rd Promyvion(you can do them in any order) you'll get thrown in Lufaise Meadows. The Tavnazian Archepelago country has many dongeon type areas, one town(Tavnazia Safehold) and 2 'outside' areas, surounding the Safehold(Lufaise Meadows and Misareau Coast)

The green Swirling Whirlpools things:
Qufim Island <----> Misareau Coast
Valkurm Dunes <----> Lufaise Meadows

As soon as you finish the chapter 1 of Chains of Promathia(the 3 Promyvions) and get thrown into Lufaise Meadows, the two Wirlpools will be activated and free to use as much and as often as you wish.

Have fun...

And consider this; if you find the Promyvions hard.... well they are rather easy in front of what's to come in CoP missions ! ^^
