You must have no active missions... and the amount you must pay to the consulet depends on what rank Sandy is in...
1st = 40k
2nd = 10k
3rd = 4k

If you wish to change and dont make mounds of gil just be patient till sandy is in second or third

Actually if you are moving to Windurst, you should wait until they are in thrid place so you only have to pay 4K (a rare occurance on my server lol) In order to move to Windurst, talk to one of the NPC's in the Heaven's Tower in the Windy Walls section of town. I'm sorry but I don't remember the NPC's name.... can anyone be of help with that??

Also, once you have moved to Windurst, you will lost all Conquest Points you had with San d'Oria and begin again at Rank 1.

However, if in the future, you decide to move back to Sandy, you will be able to have your rank and CP reinstated is what I've heard. Hope that was of some help, and good luck to you! :-)

I'm interested in moving from Windurst to Sandy. I've been to the San d'Orian consulate in Jeuno and Windurst and am unable to change my allegiance. Does anyone have any idea where I'm supposed to go for this.

Also note that changing nationality clears all outpost quests you have completed and if you switch back to your original nation, you'll have to repeat each outpost.

Unfortunately, there is no way to cancel a mission. I was from Sandy and my girlfriend is from Windy. She got stuck on mission 6-2 I think (it can only be completed by a party/alliance from Windy). Most of our LS is from Bastok, so we were going to switch to Bastok, but it will not let her cancel that mission, so she has to complete it first. Instead, I switched to Windy and I am going to help her through it.

On that note, I would also say that if you are going to switch nations, I would suggest doing it when your new nation is in first. I use my Outposts alot, and it is a huge pain in the ass to get them all again. I preferred to pay the 40k when Windy was in first and I could get 70% of the outposts in that week.

But thats just my two bits.

A note on outpost warps.

If you change nationality not only do you start with no outpost warps, but if you change back to your current nation you lose them all.

I have done all 17 outpost supply quests. I'm bastokan. I even have ronfaure and sarurabaruta warps. I will never change nationality because these are too valuable. I want to know the sandy and windy storylines badly but thee losss of ron and saru is too great. I will probably never have another chance to do them again.

It sucks because while conquest points are retained outposst supply quests are not. This is a severe limitation and is keeping mee from enjoying the other 2 nations storylines >.<

Kind of on this thread of thought, what all can we do to help sway a region into one nations control? I mean, I know about leveling with signet, and giving equipment to the proper NPCs, but how effective is that? What is the MOST effective way to do that? My LS is is predominately Bastokian, and when I change allegiences to them, we want to help take over as many zones as possible, whats the best way to do that? Unfortunately, we are running out of low level jobs to level in the starting areas...

Thanks

The best way to take over a region is not just by leveling low jobs and trading equipment, its by doing a Foreigh Legion or something like that. Its done when you take a party and talk to one of the gate guards, one of the options besides getting signet is to participate in a battle a any outposted area. for example:

You find a beastmen flag and its like doing garrison like in which you can get lvl cap and defeat mobs which add points to your nation. If you do enough of this you can turn the tide and go from 0 influence to Major influence, its the only way i know to take over Gustanberg and Rofange, We got close once but they are exausting. Oh and yeah i wouldn't trade nations with having those two OP. Only problem is that you have to be lvl20 in order to Tele-outpost and some outpost wont let you tele there unless ur a certain lvl. For example if you have the one at Sactuary of Zi'tah, Think you have to be atleast lvl 40 to OP there, any lower and the OP tele guy will say "Due to safety reasons i'm not able to teleport you to this Outpost." or some BS like that lol.

But the foreigh legion thingy-ma-gigec is the best way to sway control or a strong area.
