http://ffxi.somepage.com/itemdb/6644 Dexterity +5 Resist Sleep Accuracy +15% Ranged Accuracy +15% Enmity +3 Where did these stats like "Resist Sleep" and "+3 enmity" come from? They are very hard to test, and the enmity stat in particular seems pretty exact.

Those stats came from various Japanese FFXI websites. As for where they got it from, there are a number of official resources that are Japanese-only. Many of the stats for the Feb patch are from the Official Patch Book. As you can see from the cover picture, it was published specifically for the February patch. To my understanding, it has all the food stats, full quest/BCNM info and drops, along with info like the Relic upgrades to stage 3.

Unfortunately, all of those patch guides are only in Japanese. For whatever reason, Square-Enix doesn't seem concerned with regularly publishing accurate guides in English, or any non-Japanese language. It would be logical that this would change as a greater percentage of their playerbase are outside Japan, but I wouldn't bet on it.

For the time being, we hope to fill in the gap. All the accurate info that we can find is put into the site here, so that players around the world can have access to the same level of knowledge.
