Excellent info; that drop has been added as well. Given the level range of the mobs involved, it'll probably end up being dropped by all the Cryptonberries in there; guess we'll see, as more of those are killed.

The chests there are most all mimics. The only luck from a real chest was at the very end of the level, down the elevator and past the higher level dire mites. The mimics have a 'provoke' and nasty DOT... (at least in uncapped Pso'Xja)

Dont even bother opening a chest if you're looking for the map unless there are two right next to each other in the same room. One will be a mimic and one a real chest. You won't be able to tell which is which, but i think if you sneak and get lucky on the first one then the other wont aggro.
I had to kill the other chest first and then opened the second and got map.

I heard you can tell the difference between real and fake chests by checking them on widescan.
I never have tried this though.

I thought I heard that the mimics show up on Wide Scan...is that not the case?

This is not the case (or isn't, anymore) -- when we were searching for a chest, mimics did not show up on the scan.
The best way I've seen for finding them is to take BST. If you get a mimic, sic your jug on it, run a long way away, and release. The mimic will forget about you and eventually turn back into a treasure chest.
