Which World to choose

I'm been playing the 360 Beta and by April 2nd I have to choose which server to be my home world. I'm just at a loss for which to choose though. Does it really make any difference? Also, if anyone has any suggestions for us Beta users on what to do besides picking a server to play on after Retail, before the Beta shuts down on April 2nd, I would appreciate any feedback.

Honestly, I would choose based on what trades, if any, you follow.

For example, fishing on Cerebrus is ok. There are not many fishermen, but fish prices are relatively low. If you are a fishermen, then I would go to a server that is giving you the most bang for your buck.

Most servers are experiencing (in my opinion) really bad inflation and in general, a horrid economy. I would use that as a basis to choose where to go (unless you have a lot of friends all on, or going to, the same server).

But thats just my two gil, I could be wrong :-)

if there are any people you've playing with regularly, talk to them, see where they're going. granted there are some differences in server economy, and population maturity, but in the end, they are all the same.

Truthfully, it's really hard to say. Depends on your preferences honestly.

Some, as was stated, have certain crafts that you could make the most of if you joined. Some have larger populations than others. Economy seems to be a HUGE difference between servers, so that may influence your choice. And then there's the ratio of NA, EU, and JP players. Some servers have higher numbers of those groups than others, so that could influence your choice.

ffxi.allakhazam.com maybe a good place to look for how things are on the various servers by looking at their server forums.

Server populations evolve and change daily. The server you choose today will be the server you will be on next week, next month, next year. You cannot predict what the server population will be like at that time.
