DPS column for weapons?

On the weapons pages, there is a "DPS" column. What exactly is this? Damage Per Second? Damage Per Swing?

I'm guessing that generally you would want to equip the highest DPS item available to you~ correct?

I took it as Delay Per Swing, but not sure myself.

Damage per second ( (damage / delay) * 100 )

All other things being equal, the highest DPS weapon will do the most damage over time.

FWIW, Delay seems to be in 1/60ths of a second, so (Damage/Delay*60) would be more correct. But it doesn't really matter, since what you care about is how the number compares to other weapons...

I believe the DPS column here is being calculated strictly with dmg and delay. When deciding which weapon to use I suggest you give equal consideration to other attributes on the weapon such as stat modifiers, acc/dmg bonus, etc. as these can have a significant impact on the actual DPS vs. the calculated DPS.
