Question on: Mythril Gauntlets skill cap

Ok I'm lvl 64.1 Goldsmithing and I wanna advance my skill so I've been making Mythril Gauntlets. I havent seemed to get a single skill up yet on them and a friend of mine lvl 67 goldsmithing said he gave up on them and just did platinum earrings to his current lvl (I got the 0.1 after 64 on a plat earring synth).

My question is. Can anyone out there confirm Mythril Gauntlets will skill you up past 64. They are said to be a lvl cap of 66, and Ive only done like 8-10 tries so it really could be just bad luck. Confirmation would be apprectaied. Thanks in advance.

Try talking to the guild NPCs. One of them will give you recipes between 1 and 4 levels above you. Better to spend 30 minutes beating all possible recipes out of him than 200k on a recipe that you're already capped on.

Make sure you know which NPC to talk to. The advanced support NPC will give you recipes 6-10 levels above your current level. Another NPC will give you recipes 1-5 levels above your current level, I think this is the guy with the hammer in the GS guild. The 3rd NPC will give you recipes that are below your level.

I double checked a few different Japanese websites; they all list Mythril Gauntlets as a cap of 66. If any info from the guild NPC workers gives differing info, I'll update accordingly.

Actually I just got a skillup on em and furthermore the NPC 1-5 lvls with the hammer lists it (took me 5 minutes to get listed) so um ya prolly 66 ^^.
