First off, you got to love them fire crystals! Anyway, I am going through a big gap of levels using fire crystals. THese things are going for 4k a stack and even though I can afford them I don't want to. I am looking for Fire Elemental spawn points in Valkurm Dunes, Rolanberry Fields, etc. Anywhere a level 51 BLM/ 25 WHM can kill them. Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you.

I've seen Fire Elementals spawn near the lower tier goblin camp before the tunnel in Valkrum Dunes. The one on the Konschtant Highlands side. They aggroed my casters in a lvling party once (apparently when I said FIRE ELEMENTAL SPAWN---NO MAGIC--- the Blm and Summoner thought that meant "cast as much magic as possible" UGH.....). Anyways just thought Id help out there.

Side note: Fire Crystals are 5k a stack on my server and I pay it happily, but as a lvl 64 Goldsmith when a skillup has potential to lose anywhere from 40-150k per individual synth that 500 gil per crystal really seems insignificant... lol. Good luck friend.

From everything that I've seen Fire elementals in all the non-dungeon areas spawn near beastmen campsites. This has been the case in Meriphitad Mountains and in Valkurm Dunes. I don't recall seeing any beastmen campsites in Eastern or Western Altepa Desert or either of the Jungles but nor have I seen fire elementals there on those rare occasions of heatwave (aside from the one I saw trained to Rabao). Hope this helps. Oh, btw fire weather seems to be fairly common in Meriph, happing almost once a day for a few minutes.

Best advice I can give you is to go as BLM/RNG a couple times. You can easily kill the elementals regardless of your sub job a 51 BLM in valkurm dunes and konshct(can't spell that one...) and then just mark them on your map as soon as they spawn.
Good luck.

I was in a similiar situation with fire crystals(needing tons of them). I just had my mule start growing them, herb seed +water crystal = 6-24 fire crystals. Ihis was the cheapest route, It took way to much time trying to camp the fire eles.

On the gardening suggestion, is that recipe 100%. What I mean is, will it yield Fire Crystals every time you harvest them and nothing else? This may be a good idea. Also, about how long does it take? Give me as much information as possible if you can. This helps a lot.

It is my understanding no recipe is ever 100% except maybe getting the bad things to grow. Generally speaking http://www.swapsonian.com/pikko/ is considered one of the best sights for recipes and other info about gardening. The link on this site is also very good for getting basic information so you can understand why certain things are certain ways in the world of gardening.

oh forgot to add, its like 3 or 4 days(rl) to grow, I think. I have 9 pots in my house. First day I planted 3, next day I planted more, last day I planted the rest. Now every day when I login I get to harvest some plants.

That is all great information! What is really great is that they take only 3-4 days to grow. Thanks a lot for all your help.
