what are HQ +1 etc

hi all i have recently started the game again and it feels good...... anyways back to the point i have just been noseying through the guild recipes and i notice the HQ+1 HQ+2 etc on the far right colum. can anyone please let me know what this is and how it is achieved thanks^^ anyways im on the ramuh server. Ramuh rocks!!

HQ stands for High Quality.

NQ stands for NOrmal Quality.

NQ items are what you usually craft, when your skill is well above the cap for that item (I think at least 5, not positive) Then you have a small chance (1 in 5?) of getting an HQ. HQ 2, 3 etc require even higher lvl of skill above that item skill cap. (Not sure what that is)

For crafting there is three main tiers.

Tier 1 is 11 above cap
Tier 2 is 31 above cap
Tier 3 is 51 above cap

Thes affect your HQ chances, about 10%, 25% and 50% basically. Others will dispute the average, but its like that.

When you go to craft you have the standard regular one, then you MAY have an HQ or in some cases HQ2 or HQ3.

Now regarding your HQ+2 thing, Flute +2 is the HQ3 synth of Flute. (Best synth possible and most rarest) For cooking you have two recipes for some. Marron Glace is one of these, depending on the key item for the craft you can make a Bijou Glace or a Squirrel's delight (i think its the name). These HQ2 foods and stuff are better then HQ1.

The rest of the stuff already existed forever. Arrow, rocks and other synths like cookies that have HQ2's but just vary on item produced or the HQ item produced. Though I hope I answered your question on HQ2 right. Hq2 (being different from HQ item) is a relatively new thing to hit cooking and some instruments in crafting.
