Lucky Egg in Castle Oztroja

Yea i got a big question for all you guys out there. I was at Casle Oztroja for about 12-13 days (in rl) camping o-kote for my NIN, the price went from 2-3mil to 9-10mil in like 4 days on my server b/c of Christ mas so i was like "F That!!" Anyways, i camp it, i get tons of claims. (I'm an extreme NM/HNM hunter of Fenrir server if u know me) I end up teaming up with a ls mate /c we both needed one and it would be easier to claim. Anyways, i got like 0/50. I go AFK 1 pop b/c parents need me, it pops, my party member kills, we get drop. 1/51 and he gets em. So then we stay for my drop. i go 1/75 or so. I'm getting SOOOO fed up, and i heard rumors that "Lucky Egg" don't actually work unless u eat it. I had one because i think it works being in your inventory but w/e. So i say "F It!" one more time. I eat the dang egg, i kill, i get drop. I couldn't believe it.
So anyways my question to all of you is, does Lucky Egg have something to do with "luck" at all? If anyone has ever noticed, "Luck" can be made in the auto tranlsate function. {luck} {Do you have it?} {Yes, please.} I believe if you eat a Lucky Egg, you get {luck} +10 or something. It may equal Treasure Hunter 4 or something. I already had Treasure Hunter 2 the whole time camping. I was a 46THF, my party member was a 45THF. (We did catch aggro here and there, but we managed to kill.)
Anyways bottom line, i think "Lucky Egg" should be marked with a {luck} stat increase if eaten. Also, since the lucky egg is so rare of a drop, I would like to know if anyone can do some research with it. Like eat it when killing a NM, go get another, eat it again, etc etc like 5 times and tell me the research of not eating one 5 times. It won't be the best research but may help prove whether or not if it does give a {luck} stat.

It's really hard to come up with a test for such things; almost all the drop rates in the game are low enough (if they aren't 100%) that it takes a lot of testing to be sure of a noticable difference.
There might be effects from things like that, sure. By and large, 99% of the "hidden effects" that people think are there, don't actually exist. Until someone sits down and parses a ton of kills/drops with and without the egg active, it's impossible to say.

Hmm, I've heard all kinds of rumors about luck being a hidden stat, I'm very eager to hear the results ^^.

It is RUMORED to be TH +1. Personally I don't buy it and I've eaten about 12 of these.

Lucky Egg does not give any Hidden Stat of Treasure Hunter +1.
Lucky Egg is used to get Opo-opo Crown.
The only two items in the game that give Treasure Hunter +1 are Assassin's Armlets, and Thief's Knife, and there were tests regarding the effects of Treasure Hunter+1 done by someone at theorderls.com that indicated that Treasure Hunter+1 only increased drop rates by 1% for every TH+1.
Lucky Egg, Millionare's Desk, 4-Leaf Mandragora Bud, etc. NONE OF THOSE ITEMS GIVE A TREASURE HUNTER EFFECT
Square-Enix wouldn't make items easily available to all jobs that would basically make having a Thief useless, and I believe that Any item rumored to give a Treasure Hunter effect was parsed and it was shown that they do not give any effect whatsoever so just stop with the Lucky Egg questions.
