Not sure if this was mentioned or not but the new cakes (and probably the stewpots too?) are AoE, meaning that when you use it, the entire party gets the effect, unless of course they have already eaten a food.

Used a Gateau au Fraises last night to see the stats, my party was quite surprised when they got about 50 MP and INT+1. XD

We also got a small amount of HP from the cake, maybe 10%, and the PLD got VIT. So the effects may vary job to job.

Gateau au Fraises gives a percentage, i eat it while on mnk/blm (was warping around) and it only gave me like 8 or 9 mp not too sure had 140ish mp then 151 after I ate it

Royal Grapes can be bought in South Sandy at the tavern near the MH

Original relic isn't required for relic upgrade. Trading the -1 armor, synth item, and dynamis currency will result in the respective +1 relic.

This is a common mistake; talk to Sagheera, she clearly is upgrading "relic armor". You must have the relic armor first and trade that with the other required items, in order to obtained the upgraded version.

Each job has either a new belt OR a new cape. The Thief job gets the Assassin's Cape as their new extra item.

this is not completely true. there's something about the new food. it doesn't give everyone the same stats it seems. I ate Love chocolate as Mnk/war and it gave me no visable changes, no stat, elemental resistance, mp, hp, attack, defense and it lasted well over 60 mins I took it off before it hit 3hrs

i think you misread what was said in the post, it said +12 mph, this meaning +12 mp/tick while resting, not just +2 mp total.

mph = mp while healing

So, you get +12 more MP while healing... and about how long it lasts, you are probably right :s

Orpiment can be found under Alchemy materials section in the auction house and is obtainable by mining in Ifrit's Cauldron. I don't know what recipes it is used for yet. Some other changes in Ifrit's Cauldron mining - translucent rocks can now be mined, and darksteel ore seems to be a little bit more common.

Translucent rocks have been minable since the past couple of months. Darksteel ores are no more common than usual. Please ignore this post. Orpiment is in the "very rare" class of ifrits mining, along with darksteel, adaman, orichalcum, and the coloured rocks.

I was mucking around in the dreaded Sacrarium shortly after jp midnight (PST: sun 7am, EST: sun 10am, singapore|HK: sun 11pm, Sydney time: mon 2am)..

Looks like the monsters(mobs) in the Lv50-capped dungeon has been shuffled with, such as:

1. Stegotaur - before the update, there were only two of those True-sight horrors guarding the northern fork into the maze. Now, one guards the southern branch as well -.-

2. Teratotaur (the "HQ" of the above pesky mob) - i spotted one lurking in the maze, and one each at the junctions leading to the Large Hall (for those on promathia mission 4-3).

I guess SquareEnix must have realised that it was too getting too easy for some of us who obtain "free" exp scrolls (based on the repeatable quest "Secrets of Ovens Lost", repeatable once every Earth week, after japan midnight). /sigh

Made some HQ stew pots with the following results:

Prized Beef Stewpot
Original stats on 75 NIN:

STR 14 -> 18
AGI 4 -> 6
MND -4 -> -2
Attack 342 -> 405
HP 991 -> 1090

Prime Crab Stewpot

Original stats on 75 PLD:
Defense 342 -> 457
HP 1380 -> 1461
MP 286 -> 304

Confirmed that stew pots are also AoE type food.

Note: be careful with the AoE foods. If someone in your party is in range when you use it they will also get the affect unless they have already used food. They cannot over write the shared food by later using their own. It is just like they ate it themselves.
