I know that having certain furniture / items in your Mog House is supposed to decrease the amount of Experience you lose if your character dies, but does anyone know if you gain anything from having multiple items with the same effect, or is it a waste of gil?
Would two different beds help save even more experience points in the event i die, or is it pointless...?

No, it is not a variable effect. Either you have Moghancement: Experience or not.

Well, thats not exactly true. You can increase the amount of a moghancement with more of the same element. When you get more the aura gets stronger. Just make sure that the bed is the strongest of the elements otherwise you will get a different moghancement. There is an excellent guide to furnishings, but I don't remember where it is. Try googling ffxi moghancement.
