Putting Together your Mannequinn Guide

Ok I know that many many people out there want the mannequinn but still havent gotten it yet. However many people don't know that certain parts drop every time at some places and only a minimal chance elsewhere. Here is a small guide as to where to go for each body part. (NOTE: The bcnm's I base on by every victory I had. I have done each one in a group of 3 people and we each used our own orb. I only obtained 2/6 for my own use in the victories (sold one kept other))

Mannequinn Head--- This is a 100% chance drop by BCNM 20 in Horlais Peak "Shooting Fish". It will drop every single time. I have beaten it and gotten 6/6 heads and can confirm that everyone else i know of whom has beaten it in my shell has also gotten a head in every victory. (easy battle when done with 3 summoners and ramuh).

Mannequinn Hands---This is a 100% chance drop in BCNM 20 "Charming Trio" in Balgas Bias. It will also drop every time. I am 6/6 hands on this one and 1 of my other linkshell mates have also gotten 3/3 on it and a second shell mate 2/2 (once was a wipe out) when they did theirs.

Mannequinn Body---This is very likely to be a 100% chance drop from BCNM 20 in Waughroon Shrine "Crustacean Conundrum". I base this on the fact that there are 100% chance drops of one body part in the above mentioned BCNM 20's and there are 3 main *regular BCNM area* BCNM 20's along with 3 body parts obtained in BCNM 20 (I don't count the tent as a regular area). I am 0/6 victories on that BCNM and have run out of Beastman Seals. If anyone has beaten it and can confirm a Body drop that would be appreciated.

Mannequinn Feet and Mannequinn Legs---these are each obtained by Garrison. I have not done garrison for many months but I remember that each one has in drops of body parts a very large drop rate of either feet or legs. If memory serves me correctly my Bastok garrison netted my group with about 20 Feet and 2-3 legs. I also did sandy garrison afterwards and that one gave about 40 legs and only minimal feet (we knew what we were doing by then). I never did windy garrison. My garrisons were done in groups of 12 so obviously the more beastmen you down the more parts you get.

Ok I hope this has helped you people trying to get a mannequinn. I now have 4/5 parts and when I get the body I will have one of my own.

That's some terrific info; thanks for providing it. When the quest section goes in, we'll definitely make sure the Mannequin one has the pertinent info included.

I can confirm that the body is a 100% drop from Waughroom Shrine bcnm 20. I've gotten body 3/3.

If you don't mind me asking Ramses, what was your party setup and tactics used to defeat the 3 crabs. They take extremely little damage and can heal for 15 hp each. The boss max hp is 35 and the 2 henchcrabs are 25 but thats a great feat to muster, and they have pretty decent offense too. Advice and comments appreciated ^^

Hehe yes this one took a few tries to figure out and was definitely the hardest of the bcnm 20. This is actually harder than most bcnm any level. I did this a long time ago, but I'll tell you what I remember.

Setup we used was mnk/war, war/nin and rdm/nin. All attempts to win this without 2 hour in any setup failed. You can never do more than 1 damage to these crabs no matter what you do. Astral flow, eagle eye shot, etc all do 1 damage. The other problem is the crab attacks sometimes have add effect drain which fully restores their hp. So you need to hit them as much as possible and get hit as little as possible. Rdm and war used dual swords since daggers often did 0 damage. Rdm should enthunder, paralyze, poison. Evasion equipment and food will help though I didn't use any. Use au laits and bring some hi-potions Just in case. Mnk immediately should 2 hour the right crab. This should kill it. War and rdm need to engage left while war tanks both middle and left. Make sure the mnk doesn't have aggro from either of the other 2 crabs when he goes in. With rdm dual wield dual enthnder and war dual wield, the left crab should almost be dead by the time the mnk is finished with the right crab. If mnk has any 2 hour left he should go straight into the crab the other 2 are working on. All three finish that one off and attack remaining crab. Now you just have to outlast him. All three of you pounding on him should kill him at some point. Don't forget to have rdm debuff and heal as much as he can. Congratulations, you now have the toughest mannequin piece to get. There was no record when we did this and may have been the first to complete it on Asura. Good luck.

would 2 monks and a rdm/nin work as well you think? maybe the RDM can kite the middle crab while the other two monks hit the two on the sides with 2h then go after the middle together?

That could certainly work. The only problem may be lack of a tank. The middle crab can hurt you badly with waterga and anybody low on hp might go down. Bring some hi-potions and you should be fine.

Hi Ramses, just wondering why you guys chose war/nin instead of nin/war? I just assumed war's 2hr would be as useless as nin's since all hits are 1 dmg. Plus utsesumi and eva bonus would be ideal I would have thought. Is pure def and vit more important?

Cheers

Would NIN's be any better? 1 dmg and you lost a member.

Like i said, WAR's 2hr would be as useless as NIN's. I am just asking why he used WAR/NIN instead of NIN/WAR at level 20 because of the reasons above.

One reason I can think of is that dual axes hit for much more meaning that the chance of hitting for 0 is almost nil. I forget if it was stated above or in a post elsewhere but just cause the maxe you can do is 1 doesn't mean you're guaranteed that amount. Thf daggers do 0 often on these crabs I hear.

Well the main reason I used war instead of nin was... at the time my nin wasn't level 20. I did this back in September and only had war, drk and thf over 20. I do think war is a better choice anyway because you need the def and waterga will wipe out your shadows in no time.
