The update on Wednesday includes server maintenance; it will be rebooting, which means all ToD will be reset.

The servers are scheduled to be down from Wednesday 10:00-12:00 PDT. See the news for more specifics.

Actually, ToDs only reset when there is maintenance on FFXI. This states that maitenance will be going on with POL. For the most part, when POL is under maintenance, ToDs do not reset (unless they say that FFXI is undergoing maintenance as well).

That's a good point; the server message this morning states that they are "performing maintenance on all Worlds", but it doesn't specify whether the actual game servers are going down or not. I guess we'll see once the maintenance is completed later on today...

From the system messages in game, it does look like this is just a POL server update. So, no NMs times of death should be reset.

Though they say they are only doing POL maintenance.. I am sure they will at least reset the servers and such, even if they don't tell us

It does look like they reset the servers; some of the 21-24 HNMs were spawning shortly after the server was back up, even though it wasn't in their regular window.
