Just a quick message to see whether anyone had any more clue on how to get the Noble Mold to pop in Sanctuary of Zitah for the rain hat? I killed placeholders on watersday, in the rain, in storms.. you name it I tried it but obviously didn't get it right.

Anyone had any success?

I have tried in all weather conditions (bahamut) and not once have I seen it. Ended up with 10 stacks of shrooms in the process.

Ok, I have been camping this for 5 days now, but no Noble Mold. I have been asking the 'regulars' that have been camping this NM, and nobody has even seen it once. Noble Mold either has a strict spawn requiment OR he does not exist (at least not yet). I'll keep camping this NM until I see him. I'll post back if anything happens. I really would love to obtain a Rain Hat.

It exists; there's a screenshot that hasn't been tinkered with on Elemen, but I suspect that it may be the 21-hour pop types that are in each (practically) zone, and less a lotto. :/

Believe me, I'd be glad to have that hat too.

I've camped for many hours over many days in both rain and thunderstorms with no pop. This includes killing the Rock Golem and the Lost Soul, since they are solitary mobs in that area and thus might be placeholders (wouldn't be the first time SE used a different class of mob as a placeholder).

If it's possible to have double water weather in Zi'tah, that's probably the spawn condition.

There are not Place Holders, he pops in single rain, and the Myxomycete have to be alive... atleast one of them do anyways.

But he does pop. 21-24 hrs

Seen it twice, never dropped the hat. Friend is 0/4 on the hat. It seems that it usually pops on the fourth through sixth month (vana time). During this time it will rain on three consecutive game days. When none of the place holders are killed, one of the PH will "morph" into Noble Mold (looks kind of like one despawning and noble mold spawning simultaneously if you can imagine that). I've never heard of it being a 21-24 hour pop, I always followed the 2-3 week respawn with a 2-3 day irl window. This could be totally off, but I'm pretty sure a friend and I went something like 32 hours waiting for a pop, which would certainly negate the 21-24 hour theory. Again, I'm not sure if any of this is right or not, just these are the usual tactics me and a friend use when camping it.
