Just noticed, the site does not have descriptions of any Promyvion mobs (empties). How come? Are you planing to add them?

That's an excellent question. We are planning on adding the mobs in the Promyvion zones. When they were first put into the game, it was difficult to know which mob family to assign them to. More information on them is available now, and they should show up in the next few weeks.

Yeah, those emptys seem highly magic resistant. Although, I did manage to stick Paralyze on Wreaker on my first try (I'm RDM). Maybe my high Elvaan MND helped.

all empties are based on a certain element.

If you look at them closely, theres a colored orb inside. That represents their elemental basis. You're not going to stick paralyze on a ice or fire based empty. Congruently, you'd have to be a trash mage to get resisted landing paralyze on a wind based Empty.

From my expirience (I hunted empties for hours for gil and animas, some memory drops are 10k worth per piece) empties resist to Paralyze most of the time. I'm an Elvaan with capped enfeebling and enhancement skills. However, Slow has nearly 100% success on all empties, bosses included. When I farm in a party, i play as whm/rdm. When i hunt alone, then as thf/whm.
And as NinJa said already, every empty has a visible core that shows the emptie's element. When you play as rdm or blm, use the spells that are strong against the core element of the empty and you will kick their ass^^

Also maybe an interesting info for all rng and thf here, bloody bolts seems not to work on the empties. A rng in my party used them when we were doing Promyvion-Mea, no HP-Drain effect. However, i tried acid bolts myself, and they work most of the time.

bloodies are a dark based effect (HP Drain).
Acid, I believe, is lightning based. (Ramuh resisted it when I fought him).

however, I can assure you bloodies do work on empty's. I just checked over my Delver video.
Nynja's ranged attack hits the Delver for 20 points of damage.
Add effect: 27 HP drained from the Delver.

I managed to stick acid bolts on the MR and the bosses easily, but was heavily resisted by the other empty types (I could stick them but would take many attempts) Holy damage from holy bolts tends to do well all around, 20+ on empty types.
