I just got a 80 gig PS3 and I already play FF on my pc but I want to play on the PS too. Is it possible to play the PS2 version on the PS3 and still play my same pc Account? I think I can but I want to know for sure before I buy stuff I don\'t need. Thanks

I don\'t know about the PS2 version, but I do know that if you move your account to the 360 version of the game, you can\'t play the same account on PC. I don\'t think you can even move it back to the PC at all. I\'d imagine it\'s the same way for PS2.

You might have to buy another copy of FFXI to play on the PS3, because you can\'t use the same registration number.

Yes, you can switch the account back and forth between any version of the game (360, PS2, PC) no problem. The only issue is you cannot play the same account on any 2 machines at the same time - you would have to have more than 1 account to do that.

i used to play on ps2, then we bought a ps3. all i needed to do was install the game on the ps3. we used our ps2 discs, did not have to buy anything. im using the account i used on the ps2, which i also occasionally play on our pc. i can guest log in with my account on other peoples systems with no problems.
the ONLY thing you have to remember on the ps3 is you need to download the patch that lets you play ps2 games on it, for free, from the store you can access from the ps3.
also, you CANNOT play ps2 games on the 40 gig ps3.

I have talked to the guys at Sony about this very issue. The only problem you might have is the 80 gig HD. They told me the the 60 gig was the most compatible HD for the use with this game. But, then I got an Xbox360 and transferred to that system. As a previous poster said you can use the same account on any system, just not at the same time.
