Good Subjob for Puppetmaster

Hey guys, i was just wondering if any of you knew ofa good subjob for puppet master? i know i leveled MNK up some, and i\'ve been doing some good damage, but that was when my automaton had the fighting armor on, and i really wanna get his magic up, since I won\'t use it for a while once i get the ranged armor. I figure since my automaton can stoneskin/provoke, he can tank when I solo as PUP/MNK but I don\'t think my automaton will be able to fend for himself with the different armor (regular one) and the different attachments i put on him. I was thinking of just leveling up WAR for the HP and Provoke, but if you guys have better ideas, let me know.
