For pitch +1, go to a different nation, again form 2 ppl party, now trade to npc who gives opposing bstmen costume to you ie sandy>orc, bastok>quadav, windy>yag. You will obtain Gobbie costumes, go correct bomb dec to both recieve +1 pitchfork.

In the update, there are 3 new lantern furnishings. They seem like they'd be from this Halloween event, anybody know anything about them?

You get the 3 lantern furnishings from the newest event this year. When you get your Coven Hat from the event put it on and then talk to the moogles then you will see the 3 lantern furnishings for sell there 10k each.

I almost got all the things for the festival. And it was way to easy and i wish they would have put more items. They were not that great. But it was fun anyways

I can definitely vouch for the idea of keeping trading items even when it just says 'Thank you...'

I traded about a stack of Ginger cookies to Harmodios in Harmodios Music in Bastok to get Horror Head II, and another stack? 1/2 stack? to Belzieg outside the Bastok Market AH for Treat Staff II.

Just set up a /item "Ginger Cookie" <t> macro and kept hitting it. Didn't take too long. And you DO NOT have to wait for the day to change. You only have to wait for the day to change to use the same sweet if you want a costume. If you're just wanting the random drops, you don't have to wait.

So now I have Pumpkin Head I & II, Horror Head I & II, Trick Staff I & II and Treat Staff I & II along with Witch and Coven Hats. Still no Pitchforks, but I haven't really tried for those since I'd have to find someone to team up with on those.

Certain rules apply to all the ghosts. First, in order to have the quest activated you'll need to talk to the respective exorcists for each of the three nations(i.e. Roger for Windurst). Once the quest is active, trade a sweet to any costumed npc to gain a costume. Follow the npc ghost(they're see through) and stay out of their sight, but keep close enough for the text to go through. The reason for you to NOT have heard anything could be one of the following:

a)The npc ghost discovered you and you lost your costume.
-in this case, you have to return to the exorcist npc and start the quest again, and in order to get a costume(if within the same Vana'diel day), you'll have to trade a different sweet.
b)You have completed the quest that Vana'day.
-You'll need to wait until the following day rolls in at 00:00 to do have the npc give you the quest again.
c)You haven't talked to an exorcist npc to start the quest.
-What are you doing following a ghost without ever starting the quest? Go find the npc exorcist.

Once you completed the easier task from the exorcist npc, you'll get a Witch's hat. Now, in order to get the HQ item you'll have to talk to the exorcist while wearing the Witch's Hat. This will cause the dialogue to change and give you a chance to follow the harder ghost. Once you've heard enough the ghost will stop talking to you, so you might as well return to the exorcist to get your reward.
